Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

Open Question

I bought a Konica 7145 and I have several problems. When I turned the copier on for the first time I got an error F-26-3. I figured this was caused by the fact that I was transporting the copier lying down. So I removed the developing unit and the drum to clean it. I cleaned both everywhere besides the green drum itself and the magnetic roller on the developing unit (even removed the sensor in the back and cleaned it there). After inserting both thing back in the printer and starting it on again I still get the F-26-3 code. However, I am able to get around it by doing the following "Pressing 36 while powering up, selecting process adjust, select L detec, start". After I do that I click on "Running Mode" and select Running Mode 1. When I enter into the copy mode I sometimes get the error F-26-3 again (have to redo the steps again) and sometimes not and I am able to start the copying process. Well, the second problem is that in cases when I can start the copying processes I get paper jams all the time, in different places. It usually takes 2 pages at the same time from paper trays and jams right by the upper tray (or right next to the tray I am using), if I insert a page into the bypass tray the paper may be misfeed without it even entering the printer or it gets stuck by the "Finisher Conveyance Unit". Pages coming from the trays (if they don't jam anywhere else) get stuck here as well. Basically the entire page enters this area (curls up) without being forwarded further. When I observe the copying process I don't see the white plastic gears moving just to the left of the "finisher conveyance unit" which may indicate why the paper is not passed through this part. The interesting thing is that pages that jam in this area do not have any print on them, they are basically clean. When I first opened this area (after I got the copy machine) there were a few pages stuck here and they all had print on them. This was right before I started removing and cleaning the developing unit and drum. I would be extremely grateful if someone could help me with those issues. I used to work (clean/repair) Xerox copiers in the 90's so handy work with these machines shouldn't be a problem for me.

I wanted to also mention the fact that people who sold me the printer told me that they were able to make copies without a problem. Basically everything worked. However, when they were moving the copier they didn't settle it gently on the floor but rather dropped it down and once they turn it on that's when the jam problem began occurring.

Hello

Sometimes while clearing the jam (if there was one) you may leave a bit of paper left behind which obscures a sensor causing it to think there is paper still in the paper path, or sometimes even paper dust can do it. Try a bottle of compressed air and blow the path out very well. Get a bright light (good flashlight) and very thoroughly eyeball the paper path for any "foreign" objects.

finisher is the unit attached to the copier on the left.

Hi the problem is going to be with the M1 motor most of the time replacing this motor will fix the issue However in rare cases if it still gives you the same error after replacing m1 motor then you will need to change CB Main Body control board my advice is to replace the motor and if it still gives error code replace the cb board but it will fix your problem

I have a Konica 7145. It has error code

This is a fixing unit over temperature fault. The device has detcted the fixing unit has gone over 470 degrees F.

You will need to check the Thermisters in the fixing unit, and repair or replace as needed.
Service mode DIP Switch needs to be reset after repairing.

WARNING
• When F34-∗∗, F35-∗∗ or F36-∗∗ (fixing temperature related abnormality) occurs, be sure to repair a defective part before setting the 25 DIPSW 3-1 to 0.
If the 25 DIPSW 3-1 is set to 0 without repairing a defective part, it may cause a fire.

Error code F-35-1 in bizhub 7145 copier

quote is probably in the right price range. you need to look at how many copies are on your machine. look at any future repairs/supplies that will be needed. like drum, developer unit. If these are also needing to be changed soon, you will have to plan on those costs also. Any comparable machine that you get get will be expensive to repair the big items. You have to put all of the money that you spent on the machine and find out how many copies you have made. you can then figure out the cost per copy. At the same time, if this machine does everything that you need from a copier, do you want to buy a new one at much higher cost.

Konica 7145 F-51-2 Error

Code F51-2 at start-up.
Description:
Code F51-2 at start-up.
Solution:
CAUSE: Code F51-2 may be caused by a failed M11 fixing motor. To determine whether or not the motor has failed, use this procedure:
1. Enter the 47 mode (I/O check mode).
2. Input "40".
3. Input multicode "0". If the M11 motor turns, it is good; if it does not turn, the motor has failed.

SOLUTION: Replace the M11 motor (p/n 56AA80072 for 7222/7228/7235 and p/n 56GA73430 for 7145) if it has failed.

hope that help!!!
