Run an empty dishwasher load with a bowl of white vinegar on the bottom shelf. As the dishwasher runs the cycle, the vinegar is slowly disbursed and cleans the dishwasher.

The detergent cup door opens at a certain spot in the cycle to dump the
detergent into the dishwasher bottom which would be full of hot water at
that time. If the door is sticking or the timer is opening the
detergent cup too late in the wash cycle you will end up with dirty
dishes and detergent residue left behind. Try dumping some of the
detergent into the bottom of the machine as well as in the dispenser and
    see what happens.

If the spray arm does not spin and spray water when the dishwasher is
operating during the wash cycle your symptoms fit the problem

My last guess is that the impellars which circulate the water aren't
functioning properly. This might happen if some of the jets are clogged.
I can't imagine that happening if you rinse your dishes ahead of time
though, unless your water is very hard and you're getting mineral
    deposits.

Bottom thing is not turning... suds is running

YOU ARE USING WRONG DETERGENT IF YOU HAVE SUDS TO THAT EXTREME, OR DETERGENT LEFT ON ONE OF THE DISHES. CAN'T SAY THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN ANY SUDS IN A DISHWASHER THAT USED DETERGENT MADE FOR A DISH WASHER. THE SPRAY ARM WILL NOT TURN AS THE IMPELLER CANNOT PUMP AIR (SOAP BUBBLES).

Did you say both of your dishwashers were doing the same thing? Are they the same brand and did you buy them together. It could be a seal in the pumps motor leaking and oil is getting in the water, that is if your pump pumps your water in and pumps it out. Some models the pump pumps the water in and out, other havw a water inlet valve that electrical opens to let water in and the pump just after the cycles pumps the water out.

Water enters dishwasher, soap door opens but soap

That's a normal path for the soap. It sounds like the water just sits in the bottom without being pumped through the spray arms. Does the pump motor run? Pop the door open in the middle of the washing cycle--you should see hot water dripping from everything and the soap picked up and circulated with the water. If this machine has seen a lot of use, the intake screen under the lower spray arm may be plugged and is accessed by removing the spray arm and working your way down to the bottom of the deck. Might be a problem for a service technician to take care of.

My whirlpool dishwasher soap dispenser is apparently not opening during cleaning. I find dirty dishes and clumps of soap in the hopper. Whirlpool quiet partner II

I bet your clumps of soap began with the beginning of the use of a different DW detergent powder.

Try this (trust me) Go buy a box of brand name Dishwasher powder (e.g. Electrosol or Cascade) Use it for two loads of dishes and report your results back here. OK?

DIRTY DISHES ,HAZY GLASSES.ALL SOAP NOT GONE

Sounds like the heater is not working, could be bad heating element, bad door switch, or bad heater relay on the main control board. Check for continuity on the heater element to rule out a burned out element. Do the same for the door switch, if all checks out good then replace control board with heater relay.

Dishwasher not cleaning dishes. Casade cleaner not disolved.???

Run the unit with no soap, after about 5 min. of run time open door and check to see if water is clear or soapy,If soapy then you are having an oversudsng issue. When your washer gets to rinse cycle, your unit (if oversuding),will be rinsing with soapy water and the the drying cycle bakes the soap on dishes. You might be having a white film on your clear glasses.Cut down on soap especially if you have soft water.powder soap is best.Your dishwasher will fill , wash , the drain. Its what you put into it that will cause dishes not become clean.
