Hello Wakaii, Hi, did you forget to plug the 4 pin molex 12v power connector? its beside the keyboard port. Make sure its connected. Do you have extra memory modules? make sure that they are also good. The continuous beeps may be the memory module is bad or cannot be detected by the motherboard. If your know that the modules are good and have tested it on another PC, then try to clean the memory slot with a clean/dry paint brush, clean the module's terminal with an eraser, replace and test again. Still no success? get a fine grade sand paper, (around grade 600) and sand out the bad modules' terminal, only the surface please.... enough to clean the oil on the surface. replace and test. If still no success? get a new set of memory module, replace and test. Still no success? try to clear the BIOS setup, or simply operate the board without the battery, test again. Make sure that your power supply box is also good. IF STILL NO SUCCESS? do the test from the beginning all over again, do this several times. No luck yet? your motherboard is bad.

Try using a PS2 keyboard or a USB keyboard with USB-PS2 adapter.

Motherboard does not switch on?

Disconnect floppy, cd rom, and other peripherals from computer. Just leave the hard drive , memory and monitor plugged in. Attempt to boot. If the unit does so then one of the peripherals that you disconnected is responsible. If the machine still just shuts down, replace power supply with known good one. If that does not do it then, unfortunately, you have a motherboard issue.

I used a PS/2 Keyboard and one day it stopped working. And I found out that when it's installed even the mouse doesn't work, so I bought a new USB keyboard though I can't enter the BIOS with it...

Hi, you maybe just need a driver for the mainboard.

You can download here:

http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/driver.php?S_ID=363

Try the chipset driver first.
Please unzip the file before installation.
You maybe also need the driver for the usb controller.

Try to use a PS/2 mouse until the driver is installed.

THE BIOSTAR G31-M7 TE MOTHERBOARD WONT START UP.IT COMES ON BUT WONT POST OR SHOW ANYTHING ON MONITOR

Good day sir, hi. you need these 7 things to make your pc start, make sure they are good.

first unplug your pc. open the side panel to access the motherboard. Remove all connections to the motherboard.
  1. Remove and check the memory module, make sure that the memory terminals are clean, you can use an eraser to clean the contacts. much better if you have new ones. or test the memory modules on another PC to confirm that they are good, then snap it in place, you should hear clicks as you place it on the slot.
  2. Clean the memory slot with a clean paint brush, there should be no foreign objects inside the slots, visual inspection is necessary.
  3. make sure you PS is good. Plug in the 20/24 pin connector and the 4 pin 12v connector firmly.
  4. Make sure that the processor is installed properly. the fan is connected on the fan power port.
  5. connect the monitor to the vga slot, (or if you have graphics card)
  6. connect a keyboard,
  7. and a pc speaker (or the thumb speaker)
Power on your PC.
monitor your PC speaker.

You should hear a beep, (good) one long and 2 or 3 short beeps, problem with the display card, continuous beeps, system board cannot detect memory.

monitor your keyboard.

You should see 3 sets of led light, numlock+caps lock+scroll lock, and a few seconds, 1 led light, the num lock only.
