I recently purchased a 1984 Mercedes 500 SEC & the key will not start the car. But I can jump start it from the started connection block located on the right fender below the battery. I was trying to find some sort of schematic to help me solve the problem

There are two gray buttons on the car seat pretty much above where the car seat attaches to the chassis. (These are different buttons than the ones you push to move the car seat handle forward/backward.) Push on these buttons and pull down on the adapters. Should come off.
I recently bought my maxi cosi adapters, and I had the same problem you're having. I did have them on backward. But, I'll be honest, even when they are put on correctly, it is still a pain in the you know what to put mine in, attach the car seat, and then take the car seat off of the chassis. Starting to regret my frog purchase...
tour gas valve or solinoid is faulty, check you have 240dc across the solinoid,if you have then its the gas valve,if not its your solinoid, but check you have spark at the ignition electrode first,if not check the continuity of the harness, the harness are the two yellow or orange wires from spark generator on pcb to ignition.
getting confused, mail me i will go through it for you
If you have a Cabrio Fix carseat, underneath the carseat should be two silver metal bars that slot into the base, if these are not on the carseat then you have the Cabrio model which is not compatible with the base.
It is the throttle cable, check that is in place both on carburator and on pedal side, If it is disconnected from pedal, pedal stay down if it stays up then cable is too tense, play with it. Same if it is clutch pedal, but I assume working on carberator you touched throttle not clutch or brakes.
