Check your ground wire first, #1 issue i've seen over and over... attached to bare metal with a bolt to tighten it down. do not use a seatbelt bolt... as this could cause a safety concern. next, try eliminating one channel at a time to locate a bad cable or even a bad speaker...good luck.
Yes sounds like your not getting enuff power from the battery could be your alternator you should have it tested. Also have you try'd a capacitor? I put one in my car and it stopped cutting out...
I'll assume that you've checked the amplifier's on-board fuses.
With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp (not on the point where the ground wire connected to the vehicle) and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage is below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low.
do you have a capacitor its like an extra battery, if you turn the volume way up with cvr's pullin big power, it cuts out because theres not a steady flow of power.... hope this helps
What do you mean it will bump, then cuts out?, Then you say it just wont't bump? Does it cut out after you go over a bump in the road, does the speaker bottom out and cuts out? Please you need to be a little bit clearer with the fault. and the symptoms.
