Question about Fujinon U.S.A. Super 80 with 20-... (20-60x80 mm)

Open Question

I have the Fujinon 80 spotting scope with 20x60 zoom eyepiece. The zoom eyepiece suddenly became very stiff and difficult to zoom. How can I get it repaired?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: I have a WO IBIS

sounds like it was designed to use only the eyepiece that came with it. here is an idea...mount the scope on a tripod with no eyepiece in it...now take an 1 1/4" eyepice and place against the scope where you would put the eyepiece ..try to focus..if you cant, then slowly bring the eyepiece away from the scope till you see a sharp image..im sure a machine shop can make a sleeve to screw into your scope and hold 1 1/4" at that point.any questions i can answer call me larry@reichinstruments.com 5088331232

have a look on ebay, type in t2 under (camera > telescope-binoculars) look for a t-mount similar to the picture added. these t-mounts allow for the focus to be adjusted and the eye piece to remain in place. hope this helps87ec49f6-6cfc-43d9-b599-49b2897eaa42.jpg

You will need top take it to someone you specializes in telescopes and can get you the right part and install it correctly, Telescopes are not everyday items you can get parts for anywear. Try a scientific store and ask around, they may know somewhere to take it.

How to align pointer? which lens tu use? no zoom?

During the daytime point the scope at a distant object like the top of a telephone pole. Without moving the scope adjust the small finder scope crosshairs so they point to the same spot.

Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the diagonal. This is your lowest magnification. Practice focusing on a distant object using this low power eyepiece.

I have a WO IBIS 80 APO Spotting Scope. How do use it with other 1 1/4" eyepieces? The packaged zoom eyepiece seems to have a threaded attachment to the scope.
