Hi tokyo_grl,
First you have to figure out what is causing the problem.
Try the following steps.
1. Remove anything that is connected to the PSP, including the Memory Stick, battery and any UMD games. 2. Plug the charger into both the wall and the PSP system, then wait for at least 30 seconds before turning the psp on. --If the PSP turns on, your problem is not with your PSP, but with an accessory that was previously attached.If it does not turn on, your PSP is in need of a repair. 3. Next, unplug the power adapter from the PSP, and firmly place the battery into the PSP. 4. Plug in the Power Adapter once again, and wait at least 30 minutes for the PSP to begin charging, then try and power on the PSP system. --If the PSP does not power on with the battery plugged in, but it did with just the charger, you need a new battery. If it powers on, do the next step. 5. Place the Memory Stick inside the PSP , and turn on the power. If the PSP does not turn on, but it turned on without the memory, you need a new memory stick.
If your PSP did not turn on during step 2, your PSP is bricked and indeed needs to be repaired by a qualified technician. I hope everything works out for you. Good luck.
Hi.
It's probably bricked (dead).
We need to know what's your last activity before it bricked.
Mostly, bricked PSP is due to interruption during firmware update.
Or when you install a CFW (Customized Firmware) by using ChickHen.
If your PSP is the slim type, you need to know what type of Motherboard it has. You will be lucky if you don't have a PSP with TA088v3 MoBo. Since you can no longer turn on your PSP, you will have no chance knowing the MoBo. But this procedure below is worth the try;
1.) Turn off your PSP by pressing the power button at least 10 seconds and green light is gone.
2.) While turned off, do one of the following until you boot into Recovery Mode;
a.) press the "R" button and hold it while pressing the power button.
b.) press both "L" and "R" button and hold it while pressing the power button.
3.) If you are successful booting your PSP into recovery mode, google on how to recover your flash0 file...
It could be a number of things. 1. When you don't play your psp for awhile the battery dies. So try plugging it in. 2. If you have ran any online downloaded program recently you could have the bricker virus. Witch you would have to send it to sony to be fixed. 3.Try removing your memory stick and battery then turn it on with the power adapter plugged in.
Hi first i will say sorry for that. I will recommend that you see a certified technician to fix it up, there are a few things i guess are wrong with your psp... the system of psp are fragile and should be handled with care because i think one or more parts are broken and need replacement. Cheers
the downloads dont matter.u change the battery and if it doesnt work take it to a shop.if u have spill water on it open the psp cover and everything and for 2 days put it in the hot sun
TADA! answer 4 u.
It's your battery. Take out your battery from the psp and look on the back of it. If, at the top, it says PSP-S110 and at the bottom it says made in China, be bummed. That's what mine said and the codejunkies website warns about that battery. Dunno where to get a new one though. Hey, diagnosing the problem is half the battle. Good luck.
this is a common problem with psp`s you have what they called "bricked" your psp you can have it unbricked by some one with a pandora battery and a memory card.
