No "C" on furnace power strip for humidifier power "C"

Hello, since this humidifier has a transformer installed with it, you bring one wire from humidifier to Humidistat and then a wire from humidistat to Transformer. You will need a current sensing relay to turn the humidifier on and off with the Furnace cycle. I will attach a link for a wiring diagram for your Humidifier http://docs.electronicaircleaners.com/aprilaire_700a_installation.pdf

Before we replaced our furnace, I had to replace the transformer almost every year. When the new furnace was installed last year, the transformer disappeared. Now with winter coming on, the 550 hasn't

Hello, seems like there is no way to turn on the humidifier. There would either need to be a new transformer installed, a current sensing relay, or a sail switch to activate the humidifier when the blower motor kicks on.

I have no idea how to wire my Humidifier to the furnace! I am attempting to wire an Aprilaire Humidifier to an older furnace. The supplied wiring instructions are of no use to me because I have no terminal...

Hello, if the transformer you got with the humidifier is one that plugs into a receptacle than all you need is either a current sensing relay or sail switch. First connect one wire to transformer then connect to humidiistat then to either sail switch or current sensing relay and back to other terminal on transformer. if you use a sail switch then it will mount in the return air duct if you use a current sensing relay it will cradle the blower motors common wire. I will post a pic of both robhvac47_19.jpg current sensing relay

Instructions on how to install the current sensing relay i had my furnace serviced and the tech told me this is what i need but if i can do it myself id rather the part is $60

You take the current sensing relay and put the blower motors common lead thru it, usually will be the white wire going from motor to control board. Then you take one of the wires from the current sensing relay and attach to humidistat and then take the other wire from current sensing relay and connect to transformer. This way everytime the furnaces blower motor turns on the humidifier will turn on and when the blower turns off so will the humidifier.

Can a class 2 transformer 24v, 12VA be used for DS3200 humidifie

Depends on what Volts and VA your DS3200 humidifier works on. If it is the same, no problem but if it is different don't do it.

I have a carrier furnace, humidifier valve popped fuse

hook up the new transformer to the white (common) from the blower motor, and the lead from the blower motor hooked up to the heat term on the board. (just cut the wires and wire nut all three together)

Humidifier not working

Depending on the age, transformers do go bad. It will have a odor to it if it is burned out, I just checked and the doorbell transformer at home depot is sufficient to run the humidifer. Dont worry that it is 20VA instead of 10VA. The VA is just the load it can handle, the higher the number, the higher the load. The transformer at home depot is around $15 dollars. You will use the 2 outer of the 3 screw terminals for the low voltage. I hope the helps. Steve

control board has eac terminal . will provide 110v to hum transformer anytime fan running.

also can pick up current sensing relay to sense blower power up and will then power the Hum. transformer.
