The Oven and Range are working; however I have a F5 code on the display. Can you tell me what this means?

The F5 code means that the range door isn't latching properly (for some Whirlpool ranges). Check the latch when the oven is cool. If it is loose, tighten the screws that hold the latch. Try opening and closing the door to see if the latch is clicking shut properly. Then unplug the range for 30 seconds to a minute to reset the unit. If the error clears, you're done.

If the error persists, clean the latch area. With the oven not in use, rub the latch area with a cloth that you dunked in hot water and wrung out the excess water. Then dry with a paper towel.

If cleaning doesn't help, the latch probably needs to be replaced.

I hope this helps. Please give me the model number of your range for additional ideas. Whirlpool has the user's manuals for most of their appliances at their site. See http://www.whirlpool.com/custserv/index.jsp and the Manuals and Literature search box.

Whirlpool ranges error codes e1 what-it means

E1 means a problem with your door lock. The solenoid is not operating or your latch switch has failed. You will need to inspect this assembly to see where the problem lies. Use this link to see some detailed instructions.

F2 code on my whirlpool stove buttons not working.

Hello,

The F2 could mean a timer/control has detected a stuck/shorted keypad. Depending on the model number though it could also mean a shorted oven temperature sensor.

In the event it is a stuck keypad detected, the timer or keypad will need to be replaced. You should first attempt to reset the breaker or unplug the range for a couple of minutes to see if that resolves the error code.

If it is the model that uses F2 as the shorted sensor code, you`ll need to replace the oven sensor, there`s no way around that one.

If you can provide a model number by replying to this post I could try and be more specific, as right now I can only generalize with the most common F2 error codes meaning for Whirlpool manufactured ranges/ovens.

Hope that help`s, let me know.

Good luck.

What does E4 - F3 - mean on display on range

It means something may be wrong with the oven sensor. The Whirlpool technical manual says:

Check for open circuit. Sensor resistance should be 1K to 1.1K @ room temperature. If not, replace the sensor.

If you need help on how to do that, let me know.

The F1, E2 codes mean you have UL ac-dc errors. This means you need to replace the control.
