Unfortunately, as a "safety feature", the GPS greys out certain boxes while you are driving. If you put the car in "Park" all of the grey boxes will be accessible. Toyota doesn't want you programming your GPS while driving.

My avn5435 eclipse stereo is askin for a map disc is their another way to fix it with out a disc

There is not. The newer unit use TOM TOM maps. This one needs the OEM disk. You can order it here: You need to put it in and it will install and then you can put it up. The unit should only need it one time unless it loses power.

How can i watch movies with car in motion

Hi, what you will need is a video bypass module
I wouldn't really reccommend it, though, as the inability to watch videos while the car is moving is a safety feature built in your stereo for a reason.

My problem the radio system is not operating after i removed the battery

for avn 5435 on the left:press menu and cont ant the same time, while holding them down press menu on the right 5 times

a menu will appear and ask you for a code. you have to call 800-233-2216 and pay $25 for the code. you will have to explain where you bought your eclipse and or know the name of the original owner. if it doesnt match they will not give it to you

I dont have the start up disc. It says check map, and yes I recently removed my battery

well first is all software needed is obtainable from the manufacturer, if you bought it new.
secondly the battery does not always reset the device. what you have to do is disconnect all power sources, and leave it alone foe a few. you did not give me much to go off of, so this is the best I can do whith what you gave me, sorry good luck

When I had my 5500 installed, I had the guy put in a switch so I could use the DVD while driving. A few months ago I accidentally hit the switch. I was getting Grey and could only use certain items. So the wire you have that is used to block use of DVD an part Nav during driving may be shorting out or hooked on the wrong spot.
