Never open an email update. Your best bet on this one is to reinstall your operating system. THere is no telling what is now on your comptuer.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Charles, We are not Yahoo. You could have seen that on top of the screen where the URL says foxy.com and not Yahoo.

To solve your problem you should have contact with Yahoo. Please try to understand this: lots of people try to hack computers and use mail accounts for illegal things. thats why Yahoo ants to be sure you are the one who did setup the account in the first place.

Sending them messages won't help, because no one will read them.

Use the support page and click can't access my account and follow their lead. Go here:

In yahoo mail I Can't bring up email in out box keeps clocking

I've (also) recently experienced more than the usual amount of "clocking" when checking yahoo mail ... i.e. system busy icon ... which doesn't enable you to do much else.
When the "clocking" is shown, the system is busy because it's doing something else in the background. Sometimes, it's downloading stuff - something else, like software updates, ad's, pop-up screens, images & videos for ad's, etc.), updating previous webpages, checking for updates to software (on your computer), and/or running some (other) programs ... which may include spyware, ad-tracking software, malware, security / virus scanning applications, etc.
Yes, yahoo mail downloads a lot of "junk" (advertisements) ... particularly since it's a free tool. One way to reduce this volume of downloads is to set your browser to not accept pop-ups, to only accept cookies from the webpages you visit, to not store or update previous webpages, to delete old webpages (from history), to delete (internet-temporary) cache when closing the browser, and to delete your cookies ... just to get rid of ad tracking cookies that spawns processes/apps that bring down other advertisements related to what you've been doing/searching, viewing, etc..
If yahoo mail is not responding (e.g. mail server is slow), it will display a message accordingly. And the "clocking" won't last long. Sometimes, your system slows down because it retains lots of "old" or "temporary" stuff and/or your disk is quite full and/or fragmented causing it to take longer to access data/files, and/or your registry is cluttered up with un-used stuff. In such a case, it helps to clean out the "junk" (e.g. using CCleaner ) and de-frag your disks (regularly).
Sometimes, it helps to shut down and boot the system again (after cleaning out the junk, etc.)
Some may even suggest you get a faster processor, a faster internet connection and/or a bigger disk ... ;-)

Password to yahoo.com ailishafudge@yahoo.com

You can go to the yahoo-help to learnt how to reset your password.
You can get a new password, a Yahoo! ID reminder, or both. If you forgot your Yahoo! ID or password, go to the Sign-in Problems page.

If you forgot your Yahoo! ID, you need to provide three pieces of information so we can confirm your identity:

Your birthday
Your ZIP or postal code (at the time you created your Yahoo! account or when you last updated it)
Your alternate email address -Note: You must have access to this email address
Country code (at the time you created your Yahoo! account or when you last updated it)
Be sure to provide the same information you gave the last time you registered for a new Yahoo! ID or password or the last time you updated your account.

If you forgot your password, you can create a new one. But first you'll have to provide the following information so we can confirm your identity:

Your Yahoo! ID
Alternate email address, mobile phone number, or the answers to your secret questions
A Reset Your Password link will be sent to your alternate email address. Click the link and enter your new password in the Reset your password page.

If you entered your secret question incorrectly or forgot what you originally entered, for security reasons, we cannot tell you what your Yahoo! ID is or let you create a new password
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/id...
if you forgot yahoo mail password and secret question
Finally, I recommend a good tool to help you in case you can not find your password in above.
Internet Explorer Password Recovery 5.0 is a comprehensive solution for recovering all Internet Explorer saved passwords that include FTP password, email password, hotmail password, forum password, google password, yahoo password, AutoComplete passwords, etc. This program can automatically get the list of all passwords saved in Internet Explore even if you have deleted all IE history files.

There is no virus on my macbook computer but people in my contacts are regularly getting emails with links to bizarre sites as if they are coming from my yahoo mail account How can i stop this from...

In case of a hacked account send a mail describing your problem to account-security-help@cc.yahoo-inc.com. If this doesn't help, call Yahoo: 1-408-349-1572, or 1+
866-562-7219 then press on #2 explain to a customer service person what happened. They will ask you to do certain things and then they compare your original info with the changed info. Within 24 hrs you should get your account back!

or

Send an email to Yahoo Account Security Department account account-security-help@cc.yahoo-inc.com mentioning the problem.

Just keep in mind that you have to be polite with your writing.

1. Provide them the details of the entire story.

2.Mention the time and date when you accessed your account for the last time.

3.Give the password that you last used to accessed your account.

4. Most importantly provide the all the information you entered when you register your account or just the information when you last updated your account.

5. Wait for the response, do not write several times for they will consider your messages as abuse and harassment. Be patient for you are not alone in this situation.

Good luck.
