Question about Hoover Floormate H3000 Upright Wet/Dry Vacuum

1 Answer

Hoover floormate Hi, I'm not sure what the model number is on my Hoover Floormate, but I can't get the cleaning liquid to dispense. The vacuum(dry pickup works fine). The handle squeezes without a problem. It used to work without a problem and then I didn't use it for awhile. When I came back to it, it wasn't working. Thanks, Alissa

    Hi reddevil6,
I do believe it is the reservoir asm. The liquid dispenses when I manually push it in, but the sponge like pad(I assume this is part of or is the reservoir asm) does go down some when I squeeze the handle. Is there a way for me to fix it?
    Thanks,
    Alissa

I have the same problem, the cleaning solution doesn't reach the floor. I don't know where the problem is.
    1. I put a hose over the asm & blew thru it while working the handle. I could feel the difference in flow which seemed to be ok.
    2. I poured water in the asm & worked the handle. The water flowed out.
    3. I pressed the valve on the bottom of the reservoir & solution runs out very fast.
When everything is assembled, water doesn't flow. I'm thinking something isn't aligned properly & the tank isn't quite touching at the bottom.

    Cleaning solution won't dispense.

Plunger thing goes up and down'

I put water in the asm? (the little black round circle) and the water does go down, but when I put the tank back on, nothing comes out.

The tank sits on what is called the reservior asm. it is actuated by the control rod inside the handle. With the tank off, watch and see if you can see that rod hitting the reservior asm when you squeeze the trigger. If it is moving up and down on it, then the resorvior asm may be bad. Also check the valve at the bottom of the tank, manually push it in and see if it releases water.

You would have to replace it, they sometimes do go bad and that is the only cure for it.

Hoover floormate fh40160 won't dispense solution

Hi there! Sometimes it is necessary to prime the trigger to get the solution flowing. Try these quick steps.

1. Recline the handle.
2. Pump the trigger vigorously about 60 times.
3. Power the cleaner on and squeeze the trigger for 60 seconds.

The cleaner should start to dispense the solution. Be sure you are using only the recommended cleaning solution to avoid internal damage. If your Floormate is still not dispensing there could be an issue with your pump. We would recommend taking the cleaner in to a Hoover authorized service center for repair. Follow the link to locate the nearest service center to you. Service Center Locator

Hope this helps!

I have a hoover floormate h-2800 that does not suck up the water

this is a great vacuum. however it does require an extensive cleaning every now and then. diaassembly is required for this. there is a hose that goes from pick up to the tank. make sure this is clear. also your filter should be clean and dry.

With the tank off, can you see if the rod in the handle is hitting the spot where the tank sits on, if not then there is a problem in the handle. If it is, then the reservior asm may be bad, it is what the tank sits on.

The tank sits on what is called a reservior asm, that may have gone bad. Does the water flow out of the tank when you push in the valve at the bottom?

Hoover floormate plus model #H3010

It seems to be a common problem with this series of floormate... some home quickfixes (a hassle, i kno) but put downward pressure while using the solution.... Check your warranty that came with it, and how long you purchased the floormate... Alot of vaccuums come with 30-90 warranties, I'd recommend having it checked out. That, or if u bought it recent enough, take it back... like i said, these models are unfortunately known to have this problem... Some people have ones that operate normally, but alot do not. >.<

Hoover floormate problem

I found a solution posted by someone elsewhere on this website. Try doing a search for Hoover Floormate H3000... The posted solution is as follows:

Remove the liquid dispenser and set it aside. Locate the plastic "plunger" piece in the machine that is surrounded by a black rubber circle (the one on my machine is blue/grey in color...). Place a small drop of hot glue on top of this plastic "plunger" piece and let it dry. Replace the liquid dispenser and test the machine. This solved my problem and my machine dispenses liquid properly again!

I really appreciate the original poster who posted this simple solution.

Hoover Floormate SpinScrub won't dispense cleaning liquid

I had the same problem and was preparing to take it back, the last thing I tried was to 'reseat' the handle -- I removed it then snapped it very firmly back into place. That did it, it's working beautifully now!
