You have a problem here--sounds like you have a bad hard drive.
Your Windows installation could have gone bad. If so, you can repair it by booting from a Windows disk.
I believe your hard drive is working or you would get a "no boot device" error.
So--boot from an installation disk, choose "r" when asked.
If you are given the opportunity to choose a Windows installation, choose yours (probably #1), hit enter after it asks for a password, then type chkdsk /p and see if it will fix your problem.
