The dishwasher needs to be pulled out and the hoses checked for leaks but you should call Miele to do it. Otherwise you will void their warranty if you should do it yourself & you may also cause damage to the unit. They are very electronically advanced and expensive, as you know.
Probably need to access from bottom. Probably best to lay it on the back. I am assuming your user manual suggests tipping towards back if/when moving. If it is a miele there is probably a built in water softener and lots of water in tanks that are not easy to see until panels are removed. Side panel might be easier to be removed to allow a view of stuff. If applicable you might want to search the web for, 2011-11-25_043923_g600__800_miele_service_manual.pdf
One thing these guys did not point out is to turn the knob to STOP before starting this procedure (otherwise you will be ignored) Once done this works fine. -- from the manual ---------------- Before rectifying the problem you must: - Turn the programme selector to the "Stop" position. - Switch the dishwasher off using the "On/Off" button.
Hello Zipmap0202, I have never found that plastic dries very well in my Miele dishwasher as well. Check your rinse aid indicator to see if it is on. Next to the soap door there is a door you can add rinse aid to. There is also a dispensing control knob that allows you to turn the amount of rinse aid dispensed up or down. Try changing the setting and see how that works. I have done this and it has not worked well for me. I find opening the door after the cycle is done (Just cracking) it will dry plastic alot better
Pull of the program knob. Then you should find a water-intake-time-selector to the right of the axis. Take a screwdriver and turn it slightly counter clockwise one click to increase the time and vice versa.
Here's the manual: http://www.miele.com/manuals_pdf/Residential/Dishwashers/English_manuals/Operating_Instructions/G870_us.pdf
I had a similar problem. Check the control knob that turns the machine on. At this age, it sounds like the control knob is either bad or a wire has burned off. Check to see if their is an internal fuse in the washer.
