Question about Kodak EasyShare One Digital Camera

1 Answer

I have two brand new Dell computers that have Windows 7 application. I just purchased a Kodak Easyshare C182 digital camera and can't upload to the computer. It keeps giving me a driver error. I have unistalled and reinstalled the software 3 times. It appears that the driver is not compatible with windows 7. Anyone know how to get around this issue?

Ignore Easyshare software. Download Picasa and Import, sort, email, upload to an online web page etc. your photos using this excellent program.
Another way is to simply click Start/My Computer and your camera card should appear there as D: or E: click that and other folders within, until you see your photos. Copy the enclosing folder and paste it where you wish. Try to upgrade to XP it is one of the best.

Use the cable that came with the camera to connect to your computer via a USB port.
No cable?
Use a card reader, these are cheap about 7-15, and carefully insert the card from the camera into the reader and connect to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

It might be the operating system. There might be some problems if using Windows 7.

Please try to solve the current problem by uploading new firmware:
Connect the camera with the computer.
Turn the camera on.
Click onto the link and follow the instructions.
