HP PSC 1510 won't let me change print margins

HP PSC 1510 won't let me change print margin. The left margin is set for .25 and the left is set for .5. I am trying to print from adobe reader. I went into page setup and changed the margins to 0, but still prints incorrectly.

SOURCE: HP Deskjet F2180 Margins incorrect for label printing

I eventually managed to print my labels one sheet at a time by forcing the label top edge down the page. You can insert one or two lines above the label template and adjust the font size to get the right distance. It took a bit of trial & error but got there in the end. Hope it helps you

SOURCE: Printer does not print whole document

In 'Print Preview' look at the margins, and see if anything is too close to the edge of the paper. If it is, then set your margins further from the edge, or drag graphics further from the edge, etc.

To correct the margins that are set to close to the edge of the paper, open the document in Microsoft Word and follow these steps:

  1. Make sure that you are using the same printer driver that gave you the error in Microsoft Word Viewer.
  2. In Word, on the File menu, click Page Setup.
  3. Click OK.

You receive a warning dialog box about the unprintable regions.
  4. Click the Fix button.
  5. Save and close the document.
You can now open and print the document in Word Viewer without receiving the error message.

SOURCE: Setting margins on printer

Hi,
Well, by now you may have found the solution, however, make sure that in MS WORD under File > Page Setup > A4 is selected, and if you still this prompt (error), just click on OK and proceed with printing.

The Laserjet Printers are capable to print upto 5mms from the edge of the border.

Regards,
Nikhil

We'll start with the easy things!

1. Make sure the paper guide is properly pushed up to each edge of the paper.

2. Perform a printer head clean. (If you need detailed instructions on how to do this then please get beck to me).

Let me know you get on and if you need further assistance.

On HP K5400 printer the Left margin for #10

See an online manual with instructions to change the print settings here., then open the document program that has the addresses in it and use the print preview and page setup to adjust the margins for the printing to 1/4', if they'll go down that low.

Print en enveolppe with hp color laser jet 2600n

Envelopes can be printed from tray 1 or 2. Select the type of envelope you are using from the PRINT dialog box or the driver. In your program, set the margins. Typical margins for a commercial #10 or DL envelope would be: Return Address Top margin 15mm(0.6 Inch) Left margin 15mm(0.6 Inch), Delivery Address Top margin 51mm(2 Inches) Left margin 89mm(3.5 Inches). For the best print quality, position margins no closer than 15mm (0.6 Inch) from the edges of the envelope. Avoid printing on the seams of the envelope. Envelopes with a peel-off adhesive strip or more than one flap that folds over to seal must use adhesives that are compatible with the heat and pressure of the printer fuser. the extra flaps and seals can cause wrinkling, creasing and feed jams, could even damage the fuser.

Resetting the margins on a manual typewriter.

I can't be for sure if these are auto set margins, but it sounds like they might be. If they are, first move the carriage as far to the right as you can. Hold the Left Margin Set (not Margin Release) lever as you move the carriage all the way to the left. Release the Margin Set Button or Lever. Now hold the Right Margin Set Button or Lever (not the Margin Release), and move the carriage all the way to the right while holding the Margin Set. Once the carriage is all the way to the right, release the Margin Set. Move the carriage to the place you want to set your left margin. Hit the Left Margin Set and then release. Move the carriage to where you want to set the right margin. Hit the Right Margin Set and release it. It gets confusing, but Margin Release does not set margins. Its sole purpose is only to bypass the margins. Hope this helps.

The PSC 750 cannot print a full borderless page, it requires a bottom margin of 0.46", a top margin of 0.08" and side margins of 0.25" when printing on 8.5x11 pages.

Margin problem

Problem---Printer prints email on the very edge of the paper and leaves off the first 3 letters of every word down the edge of that margin. If you have Windows Live Mail forget trying to fix it from there. Clicking File will not give you the page setup option you are looking for. Go to the bottom of the screen, click "all programs", look for and click "Internet Explorer", click File, click "page setup". A screen comes up in which you can change the margins. The left margin is probably set on .25. Change it to .75. Okay. Go back and run a test email.
