Fixed the problem by gently tapping the camera when I turned it on. Works for now.

same problem. fully charged battery didn't help. i noticed the lens cover was stuck in a slightly open position. i banged the side as others here recommended, and that worked. i suspect it was a problem all along with the mechanical lens being stuck.

The problem all of you are having is that when turned on the lens doesnt quite come all the way out so the sensor tells the camera to shut off after a few seconds. dont "tap, slam, pound on table any more . all you need to do is grab the lens and give it a slight pull. First day i had mine it fell off my lap into some soft dirt and i had the same problem, kinda anoying isnt it, but good camera.

A light rap with a knuckle when powering up fixed the problem, at least temporarily. Lens extended, camera works fine. Not exactly a technical fix, but it worked for me.

What does it mean if internal memory is full? cannot take pictures. changed memory card but still says internal memory is full polaroid t737 digital camera

To get your card to work, you must get rid of the pic's in the internal memory. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions. After that, your card should work properly.

Polaroid t737 camera.what to do when the LCD comes on for a few seconds and then the camera shuts back down. the lens stays closed and doesnt move. Is there anything that can be done?

Your problem may be due to weak/worn out batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, your batteries may need to be replaced, or the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

I have a Polaroid t737. I plugged it into a Mac OS X to try and download pictures, and the drive never showed up. Therefore I unplugged it from the computer. Now when I push power, the LCD comes on for a...

It is always a good idea to plug in these units before turning it on and turning it off before unplugging it.
What can happen is something like this:
When you plug in a live camera or anything else, you may get a voltage spike or some voltage going to the wrong place and damaging the unit, or the computer. The same is when you unplug it.
Taking precautions will prevent damage to the very intricate and sensitive circuits.
This could be what happened to you and your camera.
You could try to get the camera to the menus, if possible and set it to defaults.

For instance: Just using a keyboard on a computer with voltage on your person from walking across a carpet can blow out your computer and ruin it. If you have static problems in your work area, you should use a ground strip. Better safe than sorry!!

I have a Polaroid t737 and the lcd display has been cracked and now I can't see what it being taken. The camera seems to work fine but the lcd does not. Can it be replaced?

First is it under warranty? If it is make use of it. If you did not buy a extended warranty, you can contact Polaroid and get a quote or you may try going through the vendor you purchased your camera from. What you will find out is the cost is going to exceed half of what your camera is worth. Some places will offer you a refurbished camera in exchange for yours and a modest price of maybe 50% of the new replacement cost.
