Try ping and check whether you are able to ping printer IP. If not check the router settings.

Go to printer properties in your system and you can find the IP Address of the printer in port details tab. Now you type ping IP Address in command line and check the output.

My netgear router have strong signal but computer says dont get response from the router

Hi,

There could be another security settings that are enabled n the router. There is a possibility that the MAC filtering is enabled. You have to disable the MAC filtering.

It is printing an extra page in between every page

I got this answer from another website but it worked for me!!
are your computers running windows XP or Vista? because in Vista, if it uses the pre-installed drivers that come with the OS, then it prints blank sheets between the printed sheets. if you install the driver from the CD directly, then it has resolved the issue a lot of times for me.

so to the properties of the printer, and go to the Advanced Tab, and click in New Driver. and in teh wizard, select HP Photosmart 'C7200' and not Photosmart '7200' (considering it is the Photosmart C7280). that should work.

Netgear DG824m Disconnecting every few mintes

There are a few things that can cause you to lose wireless connection with your wireless router.
1. Weak signal strength, check the signal strength on your wireless card. If it is weak move the wireless router away from walls and if possible locate the wireless router higher up.
2. Have you secured your wireless router from people near your from unauthorized access? ie. change the default password, setup encryption use WPA2 or WPA, change the default SSID, and turn off SSID broadcast, and for added protection, enable MAC address filtering which allows only the MAC address/es of your wireless card/s to connect to your wireless router.
3. You could be getting interference from electrical sources such as air conditioners, arid welders, washing machines etc. If so the power supply to the wireless routers and computers etc should be connected to a surge protection power board, better still connect your computer equipment to an UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply)
4. Check the channels of the wireless routers and access points in your area and change the broadcast channel on your wireless router to an unused channel or one that is currently used but has the weakest signal strength. This will minimize interference with your wireless router from other wireless routers and access points in your area.

Can't get wireless connection to work

Is the wireless card driver installed and working?
Can the wireless card detect your Netgear Router and does it have a strong signal strength?
The Wireless card needs to be configured with the Netgear Router's SSID and encryption settings before it will communicate with the Netgear Router.
Let me know if you have further problems together with error messages.

Broadcast SSID(if changing security, you may want to change this)

Use WPA security(some devices won't work unless WPA security)

Mixed b and g mode

use channels 1, 6 or 11. Most devices work better on these channels

Save and log out restart everything, Routers and computers. Now connect.
