Sounds to me like a "Mode Switch" problem this is a common one... You will have to probably change it out.. for a new one. Most likely it is best to get a firm "Quote" from a reputable service center/man.

JVC HR-VP628U VCR does not load the tape into the machine. If I manually push it down it loads the tape onto the play head and plays etc. pressing Eject does not eject. replaced all belts already.

There seems to be some damage to the cassette holder. It could also be something connected to the mode switch, being faulty or in the wrong position. Pressing down on the tape would not have helped it either!

Why does the jvc hr-s3800u shut off after about 8 seconds of tape play

It could be a tape end sensor problem, take up reel is not working, or a idler assembly issue.

JVC HR-S9500 S-VHS VCR. all functions work except the eject on the vcr. there is no eject on the remote.it plays, ff, rew, stops etc. I can't get the tape out.

the eject button is a plastic piece that turns and pushes down on the board and is more then likely broken open the vcr take off the front face plate and check the button, it will propaply fall out. you can use super glue and glue the button back in place

JVC HR -J655EK Video Stuck

Hi hannah. The simplest way to remove stuck tapes is to remove the top cover. Usually just a couple of screws. Then remove the stuck tape and put the cover back into place. You can also look for emergency eject hole and insert a snall pin into the hole and attempt to eject the disc while repeatedly twisting the pin inside the hole.

Good luck!

Tape eject door will open but tape will not eject

got door open and looked in and saw what looked like the tape head sitting very slightly proud of tape and believe it or not inserted a very thin and pointy bladed knife up as far as the head then pressed it down on top of the head very lightly and the head slid down its shaft to its original position switched camcorder back on and tape then ejected as per normal and it has worked normally since and as i did'nt touch the head (face?) no damage was done and it can record and play with no problems, a little unorthodox perhaps but it worked for me and saved me a probable fortune

the switch is on the electronic board under the tape compartment. you have to unscrew the screws and unplug all the wires to take it out. be careful though, you have to put it back the way it was otherwise you will mess up the machanisim on that machine. good luck

JVC HR-S9700 TAPE STUCKS, HAVE TO BE PULLED OUT, CASSETTE DOOR REMAIND OPEN,VCR SWITCHES OFF-CAN NOT BE PLAYED AGAIN

Check out the drive that works the unloading and loading operation of your machine. Also check the switch that is activated by the presence of your cassette. If something is wrong with the latter, the tape will not load and unload properly. And under those circumstances your machine will not work.
