    There are only two possible reasons for this:

    This model uses a receiver called a DM board----it is the large metal box on the left as you look from the back of the set; these sets have a history of four capacitors puffing up inside that unit. They are part of a standyby power supply for the DM unit-----there are places on the net that sell a kit with the caps and two fuses there.

    The way this works is if power is removed and then returns the green light means the DM is booting up just like a computer. If there is a problem the green light just keeps blinking. Chances are that when you lost power and it returned something on the DM got taken out.

    The unit is no longer available from Mitsubishi but can be sent out to a national company called PTS electronics for repair/rebuild----you can contact them via the net or get their 800 number if you Google them.

    The only other possible solution is sometimes the reset button on the front of the set goes bad. To discover if this is the problem or not----remove the front speaker grill (it will pull out) and remove the inspection plate behind it.

    You will notice one or two groups of wires coming down from the front keyboard; follow them to the right and unplug the two (usually two) plugs that connect them to the main chassis---you will then be able to try after waiting 70 seconds to turn the set on with the remote---if it comes on the reset button is bad---if it does not-----THE DM UNIT IS BAD.

    70 seconds is the normal time for the DM to boot up.

    Let me know if you have questions or need advice.

I have a Mitsubishi WD-52725 DLP TV and green light (timer) is rapidly blinking after a power outage and set will not turn on. The bulb was replaced a month ago and it has worked fine since. Now it will...

make a System Reset process. To do this;
If the TV will not respond to either the remote control or the front panel controls and/or will not power Off, press the SYSTEM RESET button with a pointed item like the end point of a paperclip. The TV will turn Off and the TIMER light will flash quickly for about one minute. When the TIMER light stops flashing, you may again turn on the TV. The changes you made the last time the TV was on before you used the SYSTEM RESET button may be lost, however, the changes that were previously saved are not lost.
