CD no longer stuck in computer

I had a CD in my Inspiron 6000 and when I pressed the button, it wouldn't open up for me to remove the CD. I inserted a needle into the little hole like suggested, and it worked like magic! Thanks!

My cd is stuck and the eject button won't eject it. Is there any way I can get it out?

There are two ways to open the CD drive door ifthe button just below the drive tray does not work.
Go to My Computer and right click on the drive and click on Eject.
If this does not work then you can manually open the CD drive tray by -
Straighten a paper clip and gently insert it into a tiny hole below the drivetray next to the Eject button. Push the paper clip gently until the drive traypops out, then pull the tray until it is fully out, then you can remove the CDdisc.
If you continue having problem opening with the Eject button, then the CD drivemay be faulty and needs replacing.

The cd drive is stuck, i tried pressing the REJECT button on both the keyboard and the side of the drive. i tried putting a needle in the small hole and pressing the buttons but it didnt work, please help...

When you use the tiny hole on the tray of the CD-ROM drive, you will need to use a paperclip. You will need to physical push the paperclip into the hole, and keep pushing rather hard. You are actually physically pushing the tray out.

Good luck.

My Dell Inspiron 6000 (which I think I bought in

Have you tried this:
1. After removing the battery
2. Press and hold the power button for at least 10 sec.
3. Put back the battery
4. Turn it on

if this doesnt work, there could be a problem with your operating system. Try accessing safe mode if you can login .TAP F8 continously on the dell logo screen, and it will open advance boot options. (Just select safe mode) If safe mode boots properly try running system restore to restore it back to the previous date where your computer is still booting to windows. Hope this helps

My DVD Rom wont open

You can get the DVD out by putting a pin into the little hold on the other side of the eject button. Try putting an audio CD into the drive and see if it recognizes it. If it won't see anything and there's no light, it's probably broken and time for a trip to the computer repair shop of your choice.
