You can try to hold down the stop button and the incline up button at the same time and then put on the key for a hard restart.....also keep the machine unplugged for 24 hours as a hard reset may also help it.

Hi, Don't forget about this very important step:

~~~Getting Started~~~
In order for your Pro Form treadmill to operate, it must be plugged into a power source first. Make sure the on/off switch located at the front of the machine is in the “on” position, and then stand on the foot rails located on either side of the walking belt with your walking shoes on.
A red plastic key must be inserted into the middle part of the console for the power to come on. This key is attached to a clip that is designed to be worn on your clothing. If you lose your balance and step too far backwards, this key will be removed and the Pro Form treadmill will automatically shut off for greater safety.
Once the console lights up, choose your program or simply use the manual mode. The walking belt will slowly begin moving, so carefully step from the foot rails to the belt and you are ready to begin your workout session.
So there are 2 things you must do
1. turn the on switch on at the front of the machine
and
2. Insert the RED plastic key into the middle of console AND attach it to your clothing.
No key = no power.
If you still have problems after turning the unit on and inserting the key reply here and we will press on resolving the problem.
    If your still having problems before you repost please check page 25 of the users manual.
    Pay particular attention to circuit breaker position near the power cord.
Hello. You will have to make an adjustment in order to solve your issue. here is what you need to do:
  1. Some consoles require batteries. Check to see if this is the problem. If the console does not use batteries, move on to Step 2.
  2. 2. Remove the key from the console. Unplug the power cord.Remove the screws from the console hood and remove the hood.
  3. 3. Turn the pulley until the reed switch and magnet are aligned with a 1/8-inch gap between reed switch and pulley.
  1. 4. Replace the hood.
5. Plug in the power cord.
6. Reinsert the key into the console.
7. Run the treadmill to check for a correct speed reading. This may take a few minutes.
i would disconnect the battery. removing both the positive and negative battery terminals. with both ends disconnected, hold the two terminals together for about 10 seconds. this will proform a hard reset on most chrysler vehicles. also, if this doesnt work, try turning the key to the on position, and then proforming the hard reset procedure.
Some buttons stop working
Hello,
The console is all tied together, if some of the buttons stop working, you need to either get used to not using those buttons, or get a replacement console.
Hope this was helpfull, short and to the point, but helpfull :)
THE PROBLEM WITH MY PROFORM IS THAT THE NUBS ON THE BOARD STOP WORKING SUDDENLY.ONLY THE START BUTTON AND SPEED 5 BUTTOMS ARE WORKING. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM
The overlay on the console is bad, proform doesn't sell just the overlay's so you will have to purchase the whole console to repair it.
Proform frontrunner most control function not working.
I had the same problem-only one of my programs would work, and the rest of the buttons (even start) would not work. I used some scissors and carefully cut about a 1/2 inch in the plastic inbetween each of the copper strips in the ribbon cable. Then I seated each one individually (put them back in the white plastic thing) until I found the one that was freezing all of the other buttons up. Now all of my buttons EXCEPT for the one that was working before work. I can live without 1 program if it saves me $300.
Bought a proform ekg treadmill from a lady on line
Mine did the same thing. I had to take the display apart and clean the contacts on the circuitboard that are underneath the buttons. After I put it back together it has worked perfectly. Mone came from a house where the people smoked and it was the nicotine and tar that was in the smoke that had seeped inside and cause it to stop functioning properly. Well I guess thats why they sold it to me. They likely were not using it anyway. Well I hope this helps
Need to replace treadmill belt
Belt replacement is not a small task. If you are not mechanically incline with basic tools, find a professional. With the belt should be general instruction on how to replace belt. Side or straddle covers will have to come off, then front and rear rollers. Pay close attention to how it comes apart because you will have to put it all back together.
