Hi I have a canon IR2570ci which is showing error code E000020-0290 can anyone tell me what the fault is and if a part needs replacing ?

Go into service mode and check under misc. It will give you reading for drum life Canon call it % but its not exact ... I would not let this exide 250 as drums start to drop toner and cause transfer belt slippage causing registration problems .. Mag is the most troublesome drum . (%)count carries reading with it and resets to 1 when you install a new drum .. New software has helped drum life issues but seems to double reading on a once off on drums installed during flashing .. Good Luck but if this doesn't work then it might be that you have a fuser heating error, which is either caused by a faulty temperature sensor, or the related circuit or possibly a blown heater element.
The copier will lock itself out, and will need to be reset by a technician, after it has had the cause of the fault cleared, this is a safety condition. It is to prevent runaway heating possibly causing a fire.
You will need a technician to fix this

I have a canon imagerunner 1630 had a paper jam and had to pull drum to get it out, now can not get it back in correctly, display reads check toner/drum crg

Before reinstalling the drum make sure the Developer unit is correctly attached to the drum unit. The two clips ( Blue slides on top ) keep the two items together. Canon had two screws that were to added make sure the two stay together when removing the drum. Anyway make sure the drum is squarely installed with you insuring the rear is pushed all the way down. The sensor is located below drum near the entrance to the fuser. Good Luck

Error E079 Am using in canon 1180 Printer

E079 is the transfer lift clutch unit int the rear of the copier. You have to remove the unit and look for a broken cam & or pin that goes in the cam and clean both sensors and flags in that unit and make sure it is sping freely. The unit ingages the transfer cleaning unit. Good Luck.

ERROR E079 0000

E079 basically means that the home position of the outside heating roller (engagement) is not detected, i think changing the position of the roller or getting it aligned should fix this problem. :)
