HI, I HAVE CAME ACROSS THIS MESSAGE SAYING DEVICE MONITOR APPLICATION NEEDS TO CLOSE AND ALSO THAT MY PRINTR WONT PRINT , PLEASE HELP ASTHIS IS DRIVING ME MAD.

the printr port driver might have been corrupted
control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to ports(COM&LPT) + to expand you should see a communication port and Ecp printer port you might see a yellow?question mark this will mean you need to install a new driver for this device right click you will have options to update driver,disable,uninstall or select properties again you will have the similiar options plus you can troubleshoot

Is your prinert is a network printre, if yes . so please chack your network connection or permisions for the user.

Wont print. Error message on screen says


Clean the paper sensor that is somewhere close to the roller. If that does not work then reinstall the device. Follow the guidelines in the link

Hi there,
  • Unplug the printer cable from the computer.
  • Unistall the printer drivers from Device manager and also unistall the all the printer appications
  • restart the computer
  • try to download drivers from the website
  • after installing drivers and software it will ask you to connect the printer.
  • then you can connect the printer and and try to Print the test page.

Device monitor application problem


Make sure that the Lexmark Imaging Studio program is running. This was installed when you set up your printer.
If you see the multi-colored icon in your task bar for Lexmark Imaging Studio then try pressing the scan mode button twice. You should be able to scan then.

try to locate the print head of the unit. you will see a mirror there. clean the mirror maybe it has some foreign object.

you know some of the operating system if there is a corrupted file or dll some of the printers, USB and other devices in-counter this kind of problem you need to fix first your operating system then after that remove your printer driver and re-install again then then try to scan again..... hope this solution help you...
