Reinstall again the cd installer because its not completely installed.
But you can still use the scanner from your computer and not on the scan button of your printer. Go to the Control Panel....Double click the Scanners & Cameras icon.. Double click the icon of your printer scanner.
You need to control the scanner thru your PC with canon software that came with your scanner otherwise you cant scan anything..first open the printer/scanner software ,select scanner, then place your document and command "scan" on your PC..thats it..
Inkjet printers have a fibrous pad inside them that collects the waste
ink from cleaning the print head. Over time, this pad fills up with ink
and can no longer hold any more. When this occurs, the printer
indicates a "waste ink tank full" error.
The waste ink absorption pads are inside the printer, in the very bottom. They are usually soaked with ink when full and are very messy.
the waste ink absorption pads is something an authorized canon service
facility can take care of for you.
I'm assuming you are running Windows XP!
Is the driver for the scanner installed? Remember that the scanner driver is different from the printer driver! When you open My Computer does it show up? Also you can check in device manager as well! Go to Start->Run type devmgmt.msc and press enter!
If you see any devices with a yellow icon then the drivers are not installed for it ! If there is an icon but a yellow exclamation beside then that means there is a problem with it!
Try re-instlling he drivers if this is the case or un-install the device then re-install!
If the drivers are already installed post back with the exact error you are getting(word for word)!
