Question about Vivitar ViviCam 8025 Digital Camera
This is more than likely a Manufacturing problem. A lot of Vivitar cameras have this problem as well as many others that are usually not the consumers fault. Just a glitch in the technology. I alone have gone through four Vivitar cameras in the last six months. The best thing to do is contact Vivitar directly. This is there website: www.vivitar.com It is best to see if you can find the number for technical support. To see if they can give you a refund or replace it for you. I hope this helps. -Richard
Also maby try getting a replacement batter before you send it back. Vivitar should also be able to help you find where to get a replacement battery

The USB cable does charge the battery if plugged into pc.
The red LED will light while charging and go off when the battery is charged.
I cannot find any options to buy the software online but the Support email is: email@example.com
Hope this helps.

It's supposed to do that, informing you that it's in mass storage mode. Once connected you control it from the computer, not the camera.

Remove the card and battery...press all the buttons...leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...turn it on.
