I operate a MacBook Pro and OSX10.5.2. I have a Canon i80 printer. A small portable model. I cannot get itto print. The message is I need to align the printer head. Or do a Printer head cleaning. The instruction is to click application click Utilities click BJ Printer center. I can do the first two steps, but there is no Print Center, or BJ Print Center. I have reinstalled the program to no avail

    Also have you used the printer before and had any problems or is this a new printer let me know ok

  • paul proctor Feb 18, 2008

    If the bj printer center is not listed then this could mean a problem with the software or even a conflict of software has any other printer been setup and installed on you comp as deleting the old software might be worth trying also when you reinstalled the software did you delete it first and do a fresh install.
    If you are following the info as its written then their can only be a problem with the software.
    have you tried holding down the on off button on printer for 10 sec this should reset the printer ill look now for you at how to allign or clean ill post back in few minutes ok just bare with me

    You can also buy a print head cleaning kit and depending on the age and usage you might need to replace the print head

Installed pro tools 8 on macbook pro. when i try to open pro tools it says the hardware cannot be found. mbox2 is connected but the usb light is not on.

I had this problem as well... If this is a 2011 macbook pro you have os 10.6.7 which is not supported by avid at this time. We actually need to down grade to 10.6.6. You installation cd with your macbook pro is 10.6.6, so you'll need to install that, then go to the avid website and download pro tool le 8.0.5. Everything should work fine just don't upgrade to 10.6.7 until it has been approved by avid. If you need detailed steps look at the avid forum for pro tools. Step to uninstalling and installing the os can be found on youtube.com... Do not have your mbox plugged in when you install pro tools. I hope this helps!!!

WE HAVE A CANON MP530 COLOR PRINTER. DURING A PRINTING OF LABELS, WE HAD A PAPER JAM, WHICH WAS CLEARED. WE ARE NOW GETTING A MESSAGE "U052" CONCERNING THE PRINT CARTRIDGES, WHICH WE CANNOT...

Pls chk thoroughly the inner parts are clear of any shreds of paper. Blow air thro vacuum cleaner. A small piece of paper sitting on a sensor can create this sort of problem. (For eg, the cartridge stops at both the ends after 'sensing' the end. If paper sticks here, it cant sense and will lead to a crash)

Canon i80

Hi,
take out all of the cartridges, and carefully inspect the mating ( chip surfaces ) for dirt-dust-debris.
This could be a sensor related issue, look carefully at the printer itself to see if theres any switches or relays, that the actual cartridge mates up with when installed.
sometimes, the cartridge just needs taking out, and simply reinserting, push firmly into it,s slot.
if non of this works, turn off the printer, and check the cabling for suspected damage wear, or connecting. i.e bent pins et,c.

Waste tank near full

Hi
The waste ink take is actually just a felt pad that sits under the printer mechanism inside the case and absorbs the ink from your cleanings

Try this:
1 Power off printer
2 Hold RESUME button then press and hold POWER. (The beeper MAY sound once, or may not depending on your model.)
3 Hold POWER and Release RESUME.
4 Press RESUME twice then release both POWER and RESUME buttons.
5 When the indicator lights steady, press RESUME 4 times (for the S900, 3 times for the 8200 apparently).
6 Press power to set data.
7 Print away!

Let me know if that didnt solve your problem

We just attached the macbook to the hppsc 1350v all in one printer and new print cartridges. When attempting to print, message reads"color print cartridge not compatible with this printer". We know we have...

Hi,

Just to confirm pls:
1. the new print cartridges are original HP inks;
2. you have remove the bright pink tape from the ink cartridges;
3. the black is on the right side and the color is on the left side.

You can try removing both cartridges and clean the gold colored contacts where the pink tape was. Pls do the same to the mate pins in the cartridge holder in the printer.

Try again. If this does not be corrective, you may need to change inks again.

Hope this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

You prob have a few small pieces of photo paper jammed in the printer somewhere. Try to take something small that you can push through the printer to make sure there is nothing hidden jamming the printer.
