Try plugging into another socket preferably one that uses a different circuit. It could be a fault in the socket.

Thermostat tripping

I just fixed my Maytag's bi-metal switch. I smacked it with the plastic end of a screwdriver. Problem solved. You may have venting issues in the dishwasher if it's continually overheating.

My dishwasher keeps tripping the eletrics when I switch it on !!HELP

Something in the dishwasher shorted out. Likely there is a leak somewhere. This assumes this developed recently.

It is possible the relay that controls the heating element is fused closed keeping power to the element continualy.

If it was a new install, the dircuit branch may be inadequate.

Power is connected but dishwasher will not start

Make sure (with and electric field tester/2-prong tester/DMM/VOM) that there's 120VAC to your
dishwasher. You can also check the circuit breaker - it may be OFF or TRIPPED.
Its easy to see when a breaker is OFF, but harder to see a TRIPPED breaker - the toggle
stops halfway between ON and OFF when a breaker trips, and its easy to miss in the dim
light of a typical garage or basement (this electrician knows from experience). To reset
a TRIPPED breaker, you must throw the toggle
switch to OFF, then reset it by throwing the toggle to ON.
If your residence has a fuse panel, check you fuse and consider buying a reset-able screw-in
replacement from your local electrical supply.

No Power, No Lights on MDB7100AWQ

HI, there are four problem spots that i recommend checking. these are the most common hot spots for a non responsive dishwasher. Check each area thoroughly to address this issue.

1. No power to the dishwasher
Make sure there's power getting to the dishwasher. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the dishwasher (inside the junction box, behind the bottom kick panel), if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.

2. Door switch
Replace if defective.

3. Timer
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

4. Selector switch
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

My dishwasher when switched on keeps throwing the trip switch

i had this probem and apparently there's a 'float switch' in the bottom of the machine. This switch is a safety cut off and when activated can not just stop the machine but trip the electrics in the house. the reason for it activating is when food clogs up the drainage bit water can not drain and fills up the bottom of the machine. this then activates the 'float switch' as a kind of safety cut off.
the way to sort it is to disconect the machine from the mains and drain and water. empty the clogged up food from the drain bit. then tip the machine back and a load of water will pour out (may need a load of towels for this bit or take the machine out the back and do it)
once this is done, plug it all back in and give it a try - works for my machine, good luck.
