I have an LG 42in Plasma HDTV, and for some wierd reason, when ever i switch it over to the HDMI channels, small green, pixelated, random dispersed clumps of green spots appear on the tv screen. The problem seems to correct its self after the TV has been on for a while but i really dont know what is causing the green dots to appear. It doesnt occur when i watch digital television or on an other channels apart from HDMI 1 & 2. Can anybody shed anylight on the situation?

Re: LG 42in plasma - Green dots on HDMI channel
The diffusion is slightly out of adjusment. This timing adjustment is difficult and on a single scan LG plasma the proper operation requires voltage settings first, then a scope to finalize the adjustment. I have good luck with this alignment by eye but have had alot of practice. This will require taking the back off and a person with the technical background to set this alignment properly. Sorry no easy fix.

Sounds like a setting in the cable or satellite box or how you have the TV connected. Using HDMI it should resize automatically, but again it could be a simple setting in the cable/satellite box or in the TV itself.
You may not have the resolution set to hd even though you are on the channel. Confirm that you are using hd cable and your set is displaying 720p or greater. This will sometimes pop up on the screen when you tune to a hd channel. it sounds like you are on 480 i or p. good luck
First thing to do would be to check your cables feeding into the TV. If you're using component cables, it's likely that your red and blue cables have come unplugged and all you're feeding to the TV is the green signal. However, if you're using a different set of cables or they're all plugged in properly, I would first suggest swapping out the cable for a new one. In newer televisions, such as yours, each of the colours is transferred through separate channels regardless of the type of cable used.
If either of those don't help then I'm afraid you've got an issue with the charging of the phosphorus gas itself, either it's not receiving the power correctly or some of the gases are remaining inert and not charging. If you're at that stage, you need to seek technical assistance from a service depot or LG.
Best of luck!
Most of HD channel broadcast in 5.1 channel sound. Regular channel broadcast in 2.0 channel sound. You TV only have 2 speakers so you will expect the sound will be low compare with the regular channel.
