Question about Compaq Easy Access Internet Keyboard
If you're referring to the special function keys (Internet, email, media control and so on), you need to install keyboard driver software so they'll be recognized. Without the drivers, Windows doesn't know what to do when you press the keys so they are ignored. You can find the keyboard drivers at HP's website. Enter your computer model number in the box and click "go" to get to the download page where you'll find drivers and instructions.

Tips for a great answer:

Press the "Start" button in Windows Vista. Select "All Programs" and "Recovery Manager."
Click "Advanced Options."
Select "System Recovery." Click the "Next" button.
Click the "Restart" button when prompted by the on-screen instructions once the recovery is done.
After restarting the computer the system is back to its factory state.
