Question about Asrock P4i65GV Motherboard

1 Answer

Audio cuts up and distorts whether sound source is from media player or internet. This problem is not intermittent.I've tried to use the onboard for sound rather than the Delta ,however this does not work at all.I tried to install the driver for this from the Asrock website but the software says that it can not run with my motherboard.Very strange seeing how this is the(C-Media,I think)driver from their download page.?? Many thanks for your solution ideas.

The C-Media driver from AsRock(website and install disk)does not complete loading. It says that there isn't the necessary chip for it to complete installation. However the first problem was running an M-audio Delta Audiophile card. The problem with the onboard soundcard means I have no way of testing it against the Delta.I have decided to buy a cheap 2nd hand S/D to use as a test card.If it works I can only think that the Delta is faulty. If it does not work I can only guess that there is a problem with the motherboard.???

Ue boom connected to pc but is not playing music... if i get lucky i get muffled sounds play back, how do i fix this

Q: What should I do if the audio is distorted or drops out on my UE BOOM?

A: Audio distorted or dropping out when streaming to UE BOOM
If you're having trouble with audio distortion or drop-outs on your UE BOOM, try these suggestions:
  • Move the audio source closer - it might be out of the range of your speaker.
  • Move away from other sources of wireless signal - you could be experiencing interference.
  • Make sure your speaker has enough battery power (connect it to a power source with the supplied adapter).
  • Adjust the volume on both the audio source and your speaker.
  • Restart both your speaker and the audio source.
  • Re-pair your device with your speaker (see, "How do I pair additional Bluetooth® devices with my speaker?").
  • If you're using two UE BOOM speakers (for Double Up), try disconnecting and streaming to one speaker only.
NOTE: If you're streaming audio content from the internet, the issue could be with the internet connection and not your speaker.

When audio is turned up sound becomes distorted and intermittent. what can be causing this problem?

You are undoubtedly overloading the whole system - are you sure the power supply is 'big' enough to cope with excess audio power?

SPEAKERS FAIL BY VLC

VLC is an open source media player. It will play cd's and dvd's and it will play videos that Windows Media Player has a problem with. VLC comes with drivers and codec and i've seen it solve issues with audio and sound that Windows Media Player had a problem with.

Please help? i have audio device; i can play music and movie but there is audio output. how can i fix it? any help please! thank! from curt.shane@yahoo.com

Make sure your audio properties are set to the correct output. If you have a second sound card, this is the most common problem. On older systems, the PCI sound card takes over as your primary source of sound output and input, therefore your onboard sound is useless. If neither of these solutions help, it might be a problem with yoru speakers and in that case you will want to check to make sure they are working properly. If this does not work, go into your BIOS(assuming you are using onboard audio) and make sure your audio device is enabled, however this is unlikly beucase it would probably cause problems with windows media player when trying to play any audio. Lastly, there is always the chance that the audio is simply malfunctioning and windows media player, nor the rest of your computer realizes it.

Playback on audio cd's sounds bad. Sounds scratchy.

I would always install the driver first , especially if they have an updated version since your last install. also might check if there is a direct connect line attches from the back of the cd rom to the soundcard or motherboard. sound newer motherboards handle sound better without these.

No audio for system, just media players????

Disable the onboard audio in the system bios and goto your local box store and buy a sound blaster pci audio card. The onboard sound or NIC is usually the first thing to fail, the only way to fix it is to disable it and replace with an audio card or replace the motherboard.

Hello have you disabled all the built on sound cards on your computers? This is a known problem. If you are going to use a great product like M-audio disable any onboard audio card. Then try to use the 410 system. If you still have the problem try changing the latency to 4-5

Sound device

The reason for the message will be the fact that windows doesnt recognise that there is a sound device available because the driver for your sound card or onboard sound is not built into XP and therefore you will have to find out what make of audio you have and install the relevant driver.
