Singer Steam Press PRO9S

I need to change the on/off switch in my steam press. I've removed the only visible screws holding the cover on but still can't remove it. I'm fear forcing it and breaking it. Can you help me with this? Thank you

I have a Singer steam press Pro-9S, the top plate is loose from the screws holding the hot plate and the cover arm, I like to know how to remove the hot plate cover from the arm to tighten those screws. Thank you.

For my singer electronic steam press esp2 can i use deironise water instead of distilled as i can not get any distilled water in any of the shops in my area.

You can try the deionized water but you may have trouble with it producing enough steam...water that is too pure may not produce steam well depending on the way it is heated.
If it does not produce enough steam just add a bit of salt to the water and it will work well.

I am trying to remove the top cover of a sunbeam CSP1 steam press to rplace the burnt out wires to the temp control .Any ideas Matt

The cover is held on by two screws underneath the top cover AND double sided stick tape, You have to remove the screws from the handle plastic knob. Also remove large knob for steam control pulling it up . Good luck domshea at

Same with mine! What you have to do is keep taking the water cannister off and pushing back on until its lined up correctley. Also have the whole unit at the same height as the ironing board, that should do it! Can you help with filters? I cant find them anywhere.

Looking for manual for singer steam press model msp7 to download

Is it the owners manual you are after as I have one for a Magic Steam Press 7 Model MSP7
I have a press that kept blowing fuses and it's been sitting in the shed for years. A friend who is an electrician said the unit is very poorly designed as the steam rises up through the wiring so I am reluctant to spend any more money on getting it fixed.

Anyone is welcome to my old press for parts or to have a go a fixing it.
regards Deb
