Lcd My Lumix DMC-FX8 takes pictures but suddenly the lcd display is so dark I can just barely see the image. This is true in all modes. Is there any way to reset or is something wrong with the camera?

The screen on my camera is always very dark / black. I cannot see what i am taking picture of... although it does still take pictures. When I pressed lightly on the screen at the top the screen would come back on. Then less and less. Now nothing I do makes the screen work again.

Same problem as the others, an operational camera but with a black screen. I wonder if the magnetic clip on the camera case is causing a problem internaly with the camera?

I have a sony cybershot DSC-S650, the LCD was very dark and could not see anything except if I pointed it at a bright object, everything else worked ok. I could take pictures but could barely see them in playback as well.

I took it to Sony authorised repair outlet and was told the CCD was damaged, they charged me USD $55 to repair it (in Quito, Ecuador)

Screen quits working intermittently

The backlight on the display isn't working. If you look closely, you might be able to eek out an image (barely), but without the backlight, it is almost impossible to see. . It is either one of two problems: It might be that the light has a bad connection, but most likely it is that the camera isn't managing the power to the light properly. . Your only solution in the second case is to have the camera serviced. (First case - if you are good at taking things apart like this - is to find the bad connection and reseat it. Probably good to have it sent off for this problem too, if you don't want to tackle that.)

It's impossible to turn the camera off. Only way is take out the battery.
No button warks, but I can change the shooting mode and turn playback, but I can't change the image in playback mode.

Where does Lumix® digital camera store the pictures I take?

Unlike 35mm cameras that store images on film, Lumix® Digital Cameras store images on SD Memory Cards, which make sharing and storing your pictures easy and convenient. You simply insert an SD Memory Card into the camera, take pictures until the card is full, and then you can transfer the pictures onto a compatible PC. Once you saved all your pictures, you can erase the card and start all over again.
