Question about Braun Syncro 7505 Electric Shaver

1 Answer

Shaver not charging.

I have a Brain Syncro 7505 shaver that I replaced the battery in and still isn't working. I checked to make sure my solders are good and I've even taken the batteries out and switched them around to make sure I had the right polarity. The lights are showing that it is charging and the batteries are warm to the touch like they are charging but I just can't get it to run. Any thoughts?

Yup, that was it. Thanks for the link too. And to think I used to work for remington replacing batteries in all brands of shavers. Hopefully I do better on my laptop and drill battery repairs.

The batteries should not really get warm. You may not have a good solder connection
Assuming that the batteries are in correctly with good solder joints, the problem is likely the motor. With the shaver fully assembled, remove just the foil and cutter and then turn the unit on. Use your finger to push the piece of plastic that the cutter fits into back and forth. If it starts and moves slowly or if it stutters, the brushes in the moto are probably bad. Because the motor is a sealer unit, the motor will need replaced. If you require this part, you will find it at shaveroutlet.com. See link below.

The top will not stay down for charging

This is a common problem with the clean/charge base for model 7526. The mechanism inside is broken. You can replace the upper housing that includes the locking arm or you can replace the whole system. Both options are available at shaveroutlet.com. See links below

Braun 7505 switch won't slide down to off position. battery has to run down to stop. What can I do?

Guest solution (2008) to Pry out the blue button worked great for me. Not sure what the semi-circular shapes under the button were for but the switch works fine now. The only down side was that prying the button off broke the tab holding it, but this is no big deal. Saved me the cost of a new razor and I like the Braun 7505 model because it works great and is smaller than some of the newer models.

I just need to know where I can get new batteries for my braun syncro 7505. The batteries don't have any markings telling the volts or milliamps. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me with...

Yes, these are NiMH AA 1.2V flat top batteries. Replacements can be found on some battery websites (like onlybatteries.com). I'd get the 2200mAh rated ones, as they'll hold a longer charge than the 1650mAh ones. You will need two of them (the shaver has a 2.4V motor). This works for most Braun shaver models from 6000 to 8000.

5) Remove circuit board with batteries
6) Remove and replace circuit board with batteries (or solder in the new batteries)
