What kind of errors are popping up? Do they show up when you first boot your computer, or when you run a certain program or just pop up every now and then. If you get the errors again post what the errors are saying in them to get a better idea of what they might be.

As for the running slow there might be a number of things here. You might want to try free up space on your hard drive if you're running low,, do a disk defrag, clean the registry with registry cleaners (you could try CCleaner as it's free), spyware etc might be a cause (try Ad-Aware SE and/or Spybot Search and destry, both free too) and worse, viruses so AVG anti-virus would be good here as it's also free. If you choose to install this software then run them in "Safe Mode" as it will do a better clean up job than in normal mode.

If that doesn't work it might be a hardware issue, if that's the case then you might want to upgrade your RAM if you're running multiple programs at the same time or it could even be the RAM you have in there is faulty and needs to be replaced, but try the software solutions first and save a few dollars.

My computer is slow

Win 7 needs at least 3 gb of memory. Run a chkdsk. Then get a free disk defragger from cnet site. Do a defrag of disk and see if your machine runs faster. Another problem can be a virus slowing your computer.

My processor has become slow and the fan sometimes works, sometimes it doesn't..makes a noise also...thanks

Hello,

Replace the fan as soon as possible. The processor is running slow because it is overheating and the motherboard is cutting its speed to prevent the processor from burning up. Many motherboards have this throttling built in, they first try to make the fan go faster, if that does not work the board drops the speed to try to reduce the temp. be sure to check the fan in the power supply too, that one can also make a lot of noise if it is dirty.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

My computer is really slow going into differnt sites....the compressor fan is slow to start up...had my computer stripped down and tuned up, but it's still slow...they said the cpu is showing its age,...

Your computer going slow could be for the following reasons: 1 Not enough RAM - remove unwanted files by cleaning the disc. Also defragment the computer. Increase the RAM 2 Virus - remove the virus 3 If you do the above you will see the improvement and no need to have a new cpu

Cannot upload or play dvd with error report

Reinstall your windows player then you need to install the codecs to be able to read other formats here's one of the most complete packs of codecs. if you have doubts try this, install VLC player if the movies work on that player then your problem with the WMP will be the codecs. Make sure you install the full version.
