Hai,

The Ink delivery system is malfunctioned, please perform below troubleshooting to fix the issue.

Power Drain:

1.Press the On button to turn the printer off.
2.Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
3.Remove all the ink cartridges.
4.Wait two minutes.
5.Plug the power cord into the back of the printer.
6.Press the On button to turn the printer on.
7.Install the ink cartridges when prompted.

If you still get the same error message (0x code on display) reset the printer.

Reset the Printer:

1.Remove the ink cartridges from the printer, close the cartridge doors.
2.Wait for 30 seconds and disconnect the power cable from the back of printer, while the printer is ON.
3.Press and Hold "OK" and "Cancel" key, while holding them, insert the power cable behind and keep holding them for 10 seconds and then release.
4.If the printer goes OFF, push ON button to turn it on.
5.Then insert the cartridges when the display prompts and check the printer.

If the 0xc18 or 0xc19 ink system error code displays on the front panel, service the printer.

Thanks & regards
Rizwan.

Hello,
The ink failure error is caused by air in the ink feed tubes in your printer. This happens when the ink in your cartridge runs out and the printer sucks up air instead of ink. This is a very common problem with this series of printer. We have a step by step repair solution for this error posted on our web site at: www.ccl-la.com click on the printer repair pages and follow the links to your printer series.

I hope this helps, If so pleae rate our solution.

How do I fix "ink system failure oxc18a0206" message on my HP Photosmart C7280 all-in-one?

Hopefully, this link will take you to the proper troubleshooting page.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&dlc=en&docname=c03081973&lc=en&product=3204785&tmp_track_link=ot_search#N213

You'll click on the third plus sign on the page (+) because your message DOES include the words "ink system failure."

From there, you'll choose, by looking at the pictures, whether your printer has a removable print head.

You'll click on the appropriate answer -- yes it does, or no it doesn't,

Then, you'll identify which print cartridges your system uses, and THAT will take you to the proper troubleshooting steps for your printer's specific configuration.

The fix may be something you've already tried -- turning off the printer and unplugging it (but did you unplug it from BOTH the unit AND the wall, and then did you wait at least 15 seconds?), or the fix may be to service the printer.

Good luck! :)

What is the problem with the error message: Error:0x88109884?

Does any other information come up with the error code? Some 0x errors can be resolved by removing the ink cartridges and resetting the printer.

Disconnect the data cable from the printer (and the computer - optional but often helpful). With the unit on, remove the ink cartridges, then wait until the message "Insert Ink Cartridges" is displayed on the LCD panel. Then unplug the power cord from the back of the printer (unplugging the unit from the wall is optional but again can help). Wait at least 60 seconds, then plug in the power cord (first to the wall and then the printer). Turn on the printer (if needed). Reinsert the ink cartridges when you see the message. Close all open doors and print a calibration page if prompted to do so. Finally, reconnect the USB cable and try printing. If the error occurs again, the all-in-one needs service. You need to decide if it is worthwhile for you if the unit is out of warranty. See http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00489814&tmp_task=solveCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=422001#N60 for the steps if desired.

If the error includes "Ink System Failure" then other items need to be checked. The cartridges themselves may be clogged or damaged, the printhead may need cleaning or replacing, or the printer may need service. See the link above and follow the link to solutions for errors with "Ink system failure". Note: you can't return a new print head if you replace it and the printer still needs service.

I hope this helps.

Will not print, has error message 0xc18a0406. ink system failure

The ink system failure message has a chance to be fixed or it may be a permanent issue. It can be pointing toward a firmware failure in the printer and if that is the case the following steps should fix it.
Press and hold the “*” key. Press the “#” key and release both keys.
Display should say “Enter Special Key Combo”
Press and release in sequence the "1”, “2” and “3” buttons.
Display should say “Support” and display the FW rev (something like R0631R)
Mine reads R0631M
. Press and release the right arrow button until the display says “System Configuration Menu”.
Press and release the “OK” button.
Display should say “Hardware failure status”. If not there already, Arrow Key over to “Hardware failure status”,
Press and release the “OK” button.
Display should say “Hardware failure status: Clear. Press OK to clear”.
Press and release the “OK” Button. Message changes to “Hardware failure status Cleared. Press Cancel to continue”.
Press and release the “CANCEL” button as many times as necessary, so that, either the “Welcome to Photosmart Express” screen appears, or, the “Ink System Failure” screen appears. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO PRINT AT THIS STAGE.
Using the Power Button, turn the unit OFF and unplug the power cable from back of the printer and wall outlet.
Wait 30 seconds for the power to get discharged and then plug the power cable into the wall outlet first and then into the back of the printer.
Turn the unit on. The printer may display message “USE POWER BUTTON TO SHUTDOWN THE PRINTER” followed by “PRESS OK TO CONTINUE”. Press OK. The Printer will start the “ONE TIME INK INITIALIZATION PROCESS”. Allow this process to complete and do not interrupt. Once the initialization process is complete, the printer will print out a Diagnostic Page. Good Luck!

Hp c7180 ink failure

Here is the exact sequence for the C7180. It worked great for me:
This is easily fixed with the following key sequences. You do NOT have to open the printer and unplug a circuit board.

1) press * and # at the same time
2) press 1, 2, 3 and “support R0632M” should display
3) press > and “information menu” should display
4) press > and “configuration menu” should display
5) press OK and “hardware failure status” should display
6) press OK “failure status: clear”. Press OK to clear
7) press CANCEL
8) press CANCEL
9) press CANCEL
10) turn printer off, unplug power cord for 2 minutes, plug cord back in then turn printer back on.
NOTE: I did this and the fist time the error came back. Do the sequence again (as I did) and the error will be replaced with the usual print cartridge initialization screens. Print a test page to make sure.
