It goes off automatically by saying protect
Exact same issue and I have cut the wires and get them and I'm still having the same issue as they are unplugged and it still does it but I'm not sure what else I can do to fix that problem. I have unplugged it and let it sitting for a few hours but the bottom of it warm which I don't think that's normal as I have worked with stereo systems for cars to home theatres just a normal stereo system like I have at home here.

If protect is coming up on the display, it means the system is detecting a short somewhere on one of the speakers and so is turning the amp off to avoid damage.
Check all the connections at the back of the amp to ensure they are not shorting, and at the back of each speaker, if nothing is found there, check each wire for damage (like squashed or rodent damage).

I had the same problem with a jvc stereo set, it turned out the two cables of a speaker were touching each other.

It sounds like the stereo functions for a little while, then shuts off. This is the power supply circuit breaker kicking in. It can be caused by a variety of issues, ranging from a faulty component on the circuit board (capacitor/resistor going out of tolerance) to an internal issue with the power supply induced by the heat generated after running for a few minutes.
If the stereo was subjected to moisture or extreme heat, it might function normally after being left unplugged for a few days. But in all likelihood, it may require some internal repair. I had a similar problem with an older JVC bookshelf stereo system and when I took it into a shop for an estimate, the rather frank service rep told me that the costs involved with fixing it could very likely cost more than the unit is worth. I ended up not bothering and just cannibalizing the speakers for another mini stereo system.
