The problem now is that the flood sensor is still wet, so it's still activating even after your 10-minute reset.

Remove the lower front panel (below the door) and wipe out under the machine with paper towels. You may have to set up a small fan to blow air under the dishwasher to dry out the area.
Once it's totally dry, THEN repeat your 10-minute-circuit-breaker-reset procedure and you should be all set.

Word of caution -- there are sharp metal parts underneath the washer. Be careful as you're drying that you don't cut your hand.

Hi, If there is not a manual switch to reset this flood switch, I would go to the circuit breaker and shut off the power to the unit for 5 minutes. Reset the breaker and see if this has solved you're problem. You can also unplug it if it is easy to get at. Please let me know if this does solve the problem. If not, we will go further into solving you're problem.
Sincerely,
Shastalaker7

Hi, It could be the liquid dish soap instead of the powder that caused this problem in the 1st place.
    Best of Luck,

SHE44 pump keeps trying to empty but there isn't any water

she44-pump-keeps-trying-empty-but-isnt-3dor230cw2fd2t5j4bvk0sa4-4-1.jpg Hello. First, when looking up info on your model, I came across this recall on the SHE44C unit. Check your model number and serial number to verify if your unit falls into the recall range. (fire hazard)
Next, study the schematic diagram for your unit--the drain pump is connected directly to the main board--the fact that it's running even with the door open suggests that the main board might have a stuck relay and will have to be replaced if that is the case. The part number is 444813. The drain motor (see close-up, pic 4, is designated M3) has one side wired to the board, the other side goes through the on/off switch to incoming power, (see pic 3, lower right corner). I hope this helps you!

Flood switch activated on dishwasher DW60CSWI

Please clarify the model number. i am assuming you have a standard height single door dishwasher. It is likely the flood switch assembly itself is faulty and giving false results. Check the base of the dishwasher - item 95 in on page 10 in this manual. The microswitch could be faulty or the spring might be stuck.

Flood switch activated, intermittent beeping, motor will not turn off

Please confirm if it is a single or a double drawer.

How do you know the flood switch is activated? Do you have a display on your dishwasher and what is it showing? If no display then which lights if any on the panel are on?

Motor will not run if flood switch is activated in the fisher paykel drawer dishwwasher.

Bosche dishwasher serial no, SGS 456 . The machine won't admit water, but it makes all the washing sounds

Are you please able to provide the actual model no. of the bosch dishwasher. The serial no. is not much help.

The reason it may not be admitting water is because the flood switch may be triggered. This means it will not take any more water and the sound you hear is the pump running to empty the dishwasher. YOu will have to find why the flood switch is turning on. Are you using the AquaSafe circuit in the dishwasher inlet circuit? If water is leaking then this circuit will trigger and stop water from coming through inlet. But then you should also get some alarms on the display.

Please provide the model no.

My d1716 continues to run, but does not move forward in the cycle. I can even open the door and it continues running. If I didn't unplug it, the motor would likely burn out. Do I need a new dial? Thanks.

Hi

I would suggest that your flood switch has been activated. There is a float on the bottom plate or base plate of the machine. If there is a water leak, the float rises and triggers the flood switch.

Once the switch has been activated, the machine will go on a continous pump.

Disconnect the power and the hoses from the machine. Pull the machine out and lay it on its back.

If there has been a leak, you will notice water pouring out the back.

See if you can open the bottom plate, and reset the floater and flood switch. Sometimes you can access this by openning the front kick plate or front bottom plate.

Try the machine again. Leave the front bottom plate out and look into the bottom as the machine is working. If you have a water leak, this will happen again and you may be able to notice where the leak is from.

Be carful not to touch the live wiring while you are monitoring the machine.

Good luck
Ash

FI error message from both drawers. We had a

F1 indicates flood fault. There is no reset, machine thinks it has flooded. If machine was running OK until electrical storm, then it could have shorted the mains filter control board (DD603 models-this mains filter board also acts as flood switch), although this is unlikely to have shorted. More common is dishwasher has had a leak causing F1 fault, or corrosion on mains filter board . Open bottom drawer and shine torch underneath to see if there is any water in the base of the cabinet- if yes, machine has leaked and activated flood switch. If not, flood switch board may be faulty.
Unfortunately, access to this flood switch control is permitted only by removal of the bottom drawer- recommend calling technician unless very keen!! If keen, read on!!
-To remove drawer- there is a tag at the bottom front on each side of drawer when you open it -just below the round plastic plug. You need to push this tag in and slide backwards on each side, then drawer will lift out-Careful as hoses and wiring still attached, but long enough to allow access. Mains filter control board is located under plastic cover at left rear- press tag on plastic cover and slide to the right- you will now see small electronic board. This is the mains filter board that doubles as the flood switch. It is held in place by 1 screw- you need to remove wires from board before removing it). Check circuit board for corrosion or evidence of short circuit- if so, replace circuit board.
Good luck, but advise seeking professional help unless you very confident!!

Remove the bottom drawer by pressing in the tabs on either side of the drawer (bottom edge towards the front).

Dry out the compartment with towels and let air dry.
