Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional for PC
When I tried to load the software to my scanner on my new computer I received the message that it was not compatible with the version of XP that I have as an operating system. It said to change the file Udnt.sys to Udnt.bak, however when I tried to restart the computer shut itself off and I had to restart and use the F8 key to get to the last configuration that worked. Is there something I can do? I have a Dell Inspiron 531s with XP professional. The scanner is a Microtek Scanmaker 4850 with software UMAX vistascan.
