When you try to connect to the wireless network does it ask for the wireless password ?
If your wireless network is secured then it should ask you for the password of the network.
You can try to remove the network from the preferred network list.
Also check the wireless settings of the router.
Make sure that you have all the correct wireless settings.
To check the wireless settings of the router , you will need to open the router set up page.
Click here for more information about the routers and wireless networks

Router connects to computer fine but can't find network, network is running

Can you do me a favor first? if this is possible, please connect your computer with cable to the router and from the router to your modem or wall port for internet. See if this gives you internet.
Second, see if other network devices can access the internet with this wireless internet connection. Try this one first then the Cable.

I want to know where the problem is. If you say like for example Cable works, but other devices with same network wireless access doesn't work. Then i can say that wireless is either bad configured or something else happening with wireless. Then i can continue to help you.

I'm an IT student who works specially with Teamviewer to access peoples computer to help them fix such issues when it's possible and needed.

Net continuously not connecting, disconnecting immediately

Hi,

It is possible that the network key is incorrect or you may need to try and reset you wireless router settings to see if the issue will still be the same.

Also try and recreate the wireless profile in windows just to see if there will be any changes with the way the wireless connection goes.

Are there any error messages when you get disconnected if I may ask?

Login to your router, click wireless and make sure the box turn on wireless in checked. If it is then open control panel-> Network connections-> Choose the correct encryption type while creating a connection(WPA, WPA2-PSK, WEP etc.,). Try it and let me know so that we can continue troubleshooting if necessary.

One laptop connects but not another

If you use Windows XP:

First do some checks!

Confirm that your WL adapter on your Laptop is not DISABLED !
If it is, Enable it! How?
Open Control panell and then, open Network connections. Right-click on your Wireless Network Adapter and click 'ENABLE' !

. . . . .

Next check!

Right-click My Computer, and then click on 'MANAGE' !

On the left side click 'Services and Applications', and then 'Services'.
Find 'Wireless Zero Configuration' and double-click.

Check the Startup type is Automatic, and if the service is started.
if not, change it to automatic, and then click on START.
Click APPLY and OK, and than closle Computer management console.
. . . . .

Do you use some Software for your WireLess ?
If so, then close and exit it!

Do you see a network icon near the clock on the right bottom of your toolbar?
Right-click on the icon and click on 'View available networks' !

If not, then open Control panell and then, open Network connections. Right-click on your Wireless lan and click 'View available networks' !
You should see a list and your Network now?

If so, then restart your Laptop, use your WL software (if any) and try to find and connect your network.

If you don;t see any network, again close and exit the software and try to connect as I said before.
If it works, than something is wrong with that software.

Do you have a CD with installation of that software?

If so, than first UNINSTALL the software, restart your Laptop and try to install it again.
If it doesn't work, then, (again) uninstall it, restart your laptop and continue to use your Windows Wireless Zero Connection instead.

regards

Cannot connect wirelessly, but can through my network cable

After a few tries and re starts it may connect itself, but if not go to Start>Run, then type 'ipconfig /flushdns'. Try connecting again, but ensure your wireless card is set to obtain IP address automatically and you have enabled wireless connection and DHCP in your routers menu. Hope this helps
