Your best to clean the carb,....use compressed air to clean the very small orifices,..a can of carb cleaner with the little plastic hose is needed too. sounds as though the main jet is clogged,..common symptom.

Cuts off when give it gas

There could be other problems than this but if an engine dies or bogs when excelerated then it is a lack of fuel. This is either from an accelerator pump in need of adjustment or clogged fuel injectors ( which with your truck is the problem). with fuel injection as seen on nwer cars and trucks the Throttle positing sender (TPS) could be bad or in need of adjustment.

Bogs out when i hit throttle

This is fuel starvation, clean/replace the fuel filter in the tank, check the fuel hoses for signs of cracks or fuel leakage, if this fails it may well be dirt in the carb itself, remove the carb, and clean /replace the fuel screen located under the carb pump cover

Have 1988 ramcharger 5.2 throttle body it starts hard just cranks till i press on gas then when i drive up the road when i hit he gas it bogs down any ideas

Start by checking to make sure that fuel delivery to the carburetor is good. The fuel pump might not be working well, or there could even be a problem with the fuel pickup tube in the gas tank.
