Unplugging it for an hour will force a hard reset and may help this issue. if it does not then the controller brain is most likely bad and will need to be replaced. let me know if you have any more question. good luck

If after unplugging it for 30 minutes (make sure it is at least this long to fully discharge everything) and it still doesn't reset, then you will need to replace the control board which has gone bad. Contact a local sears and they should be able to send you a new one.

Let me know how this works out for you.

It still sounds like a control board problem (there isn't much to an oven). There are no error codes appearing and/or the beeping showing any certain pattern?

My Miele oven has a constant alarm going off every time I try to turn it on, it won't let me set the temperature

Oven keeps beeping:
As there is no reprogramming of most control boards try this, disconnect the power and wait 30 seconds and then reconnecting the power.

If it's an "F1" fault code this generally implies an electronic oven control (EOC) failure. Disconnect the power, wait 30 seconds or longer and then reapply power. If "F1" returns upon power-up, replace the electronic oven control.
The oven control can be accessed and replaced from the rear of the control panel.

NOTE:Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the panel from behind the console.
If its an F2 ERROR CODE, The F2 error indicates an open circuit in the oven temperature probe.

Your range has a resettable thermostat in series with the oven temperature probe. If this thermostat opens the clock will display F2 and the oven won't heat.
You can reset the thermostat by pushing in the reset button on top of the thermostat.
Some ovens have an alarm that will beep continuously every six seconds to alert you that the oven is still on. Usually, a kitchen timer that you have set will cause the beeping, but occasionally it can be an error with the oven's settings. If it is the kitchen timer, you can simply push the "Kitchen Timer On/Off" button to end the continuous beeping. If that does not stop the beeping, it is probably beeping due to an error. You can turn the continuous beeping off but you may still need to troubleshoot the issue that is causing the beeping noise.

My "Probe" keeps beeping. I tried cancelling...no help. Tried heating oven at 400 degrees as suggested by one person (to take out the humidity....)for 15 mins. Helps for awhile but then starts beeping...

The top oven the stove will lift up,with effort, and fold back, unplug first, and see if it needs cleaning and the sensors are in there I think, clean them, try to unplug it to reset, see if that helps.

Dacor range will no unlock after self-clean mode. It is beeping with an f8 message

Try to reset the oven cleaner- set it to go off in five minutes and the lock should release at the end of the cycle. Also, ake sure you didn't accidentally set a child lock or delayed cleaning. If that doesn't work, go to your breaker box (or unplug it) and shut the power off. It should reset the electronics. If this does not work, please leave a comment telling me what kind of oven it is, manufacturer and model, and how it is powered, etc. thank you for your question.

My Jen air double oven freestanding range model series JDR8895 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS NOT working and I live in Panama can you help me???

If absolutely nothing is working the first thing top check is the electrical circuit breaker/fuse panel for the house. Make sure full voltage is going to the range.
Remove the rear panel where the wires come in to the range and look at the terminals. Something may be broken or shorted in there.
There are no fuses or reset buttons in this range that would stop the oven and the surface burners from working at the same time.

If you unplug the range and remove the lower rear cover on your left side you should see the motor with 2 switch's on it. There are 3 possibilitys with it. One of the switch's on the assembly is not working or the light switch for the door is not good. You also can disconect the lead to the motor and connect a power cord to it and that will unlock the door so you can check the dor switch also. if you do not feel comfortable powering up the lock motor then you should call a repair man. But one of the switches is not letting the computer know the dor is locked.
