I have an issue with Panasonic SA-HT545 Surround sound system which is part of my AV setup (Sharp Aquos LC42XD1E, Sky HD, Panasonic DMR-EX85 and the above, just used for the audio capabilities not for video.)

Due to the room size, shape and doors I have to have the remote wireless speakers quite a long way behind the seating position to be able to string the cable between the two satellites from the rear wireless amp/receiver.

This distance means I can hardly hear the speakers so my question is does anyone know if there is a way to increase the rear speaker volume? I have RTFM'd and been through all the on screen menus but cannot find anything.

Believe it or not there is a seller on eBay who offers a one-price fixit solution for your unit for $100.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Panasonic-SA-HT930-SA-HT940-Repair-Service-/360178573162?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item53dc50df6a

That aside, these types of systems are designed as a package to be used as a unit. Otherwise they might have standard connectors. Another closely-related Panasonic SA-HT system might work for you but I doubt anyone manufactures anyhting to adapt non-standard speakers to standard electronics.

They actually say on page 9 of the manual:

"Use only supplied speakers
Using other speakers can damage the unit, and sound quality will
be negatively affected.

I would interpret that to mean 'use these speakers only with similar Panasonic electronics'.

I have a SA-HT545 DVD home theater sound system and it shows F61 error. How can I fix this?

The F61 is the Panasonic code for protect mode. See the link below for an explanation of protect. In your case, there is an output amp pac that has failed. The cost for this ranges from $75-$100 for the part. Please update this if you are interested in repairing this unit and I'll get the exact parts required.

Is your main set is on while the transmitter card in inserted on main set?

If so, try do "pairing process" to pair up main set and wireless unit.
Pairing process can found in Operating Instruction manual which come along with the main set.

F61 on SA-HT545

I can not find a listing for model SA-HT545. All I can suggest is that there should be a large black IC attached to a heatsink that should be marked STKxxx or something similar. Post that marking here and I'll confirm that it is the correct one to replace. That part is the output amplifier pac and is the most common failure part that generates the symptom you describe.
Keep me posted.
