    Auger & motor work fine. Problem seems to be when switching between cubes & crushed. Ice jams between metal choppers.

Check to se that the auger is turning when you push the button for ice. If not, replace the auger assembly or the auger motor!!

Hi, I have a GE pcf23ngtd side by side. It makes ice fine, but it doesn't dispense any ice and intermittently dispenses water. Any thought of what the problem is?

you have a pinched water supply line -

not sure on why it would not dispense ice unless there is some blockage or other -

did you remove all the ice tray and fully inspect the dispenser at both sides of the door -

Water dispenser on GE side by side not working. what should the refrigerator and freezer settings be? Can that be the problem?

Dispenser controls on any refrigerator actuate one of two things. Ice disp, or water disp. If the IM is not working also, then H20 valve is bad. If just the H20 disp feature isn't working in the door, try this: remove food and unplug unit for 24 hours. Then, plug back in and resume normal operation. If all checks ok, you have a frozen water tank, or frozen water line. Fix: on certain model ref's, there is a water tank service flash where an antifreeze insulation kit should be installed, contact Sears or your retailer for this information. On others, this is simply a freeze up caused by lack of H20 usage or temps in ref/freezer set too low. If this does not fix the water supply, and you still have ice production after 2-5 hours after restarting the ref, remove the dispenser cover and test the water supply actuator switch for continuity. of open after drepression, replace switch. If switch checks ok, then replace water valve as on side of the solonoid valve assy is not functioning. In rare cases, you may have to check or replace the wiring harness. This can be tested only after elimenating the disp switch test, and calling for H20 from the disp, voltage at the disp wires to the H20 valve, but no voltage recieved at the h20 valve, or by an ohm reading of the wires.

Water dripping from water shute just above ice maker;

Yes the water valve is not sealing correctly and if left untreated can cause issues with freezing up the pipe work and causing water to run down the back of the machine. the poor seal could be caused by grit or limescale getting trapped . it is very easy to change for someone who is diy minded.

Ice maker not making ice. Water disp inside frig disp water.

the line that gives water to the ice maker, every time the water comes down it lives a drip of water that turns to ice blocking the line, get some hot water and a towel and place the hot wet towel on top of the line intel it melts the ice in side the line. it happens to my frige at list once a year. if that is not the problem the valve that supplies water tho the ice maker needs replacing, it's behind the frige at the bottom, where the line coming from the house meets the frige.
