Try using the printer's "tools" and clean the print heads. If that doesn't work, then read on.
If it is every page in same spot, or only on pages where printing on the page should be, it could be a bad cable, corrupted printer program or printer's print head had gone bad.
Try another cable to see if it stops.
Remove then install the printer program again.
Some printers if you replace the ink cartridges it may fix the problem.
If the printer prints only the first few and the last few inches of the page, then my guess is that it's a hardware problem. It may be an issue of the transfer rollers or the development roller that only develops a fraction of the page. In either case, this may mean that you'll have to replace the print assembly, or it may just be an issue of busted capacitor on the mainboard. You will have to take the printer to a repair shop for inspection.

sounds like you need to go to the printer page, go to set up and do a printing test. this will clean the heads and set the printing format.
lastly, kodak's web site might have a trouble shooting information guide to help resolve the issues.
1 1/2 inches apart would correspond to the diameter of the primary charge roller. You have one chrarge roller inside each toner cartridge so you need to determine which color the dots are and then replace that cartridge.
Did you change the Toner cartridge? If that did not fix it :
Then the Fuser needs replacing. If you take the Fuser out from the rear, and rotate the drum in it, you will see the marks. You can try to clean it but experience shows that you will have to replace it.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it. Thanks, Joe
You need to enter Page Setup under the File menu. Check that the scale is 100% and the page margins are set to 1/2 inch on all sides. Then, you can also enter Printer Preview, and check that "fit to page" is not set and the printer settings will result in actual size.
