Depend on output of the Ipod, if voltage output from your ipod charger is higher than 5 vol, your device will get burn.

Will sansa clip play with dead battery if plugged in to power source

It may or may not. If the battery is very DEAD the power supply may not be able to develop a high enough voltage because of the heavy drain. I've had this problem on an old IPOD and the only solution was to change the battery and recharge it. If you don't have the original charger make sure the replacement meets or exceeds the current rating, has the correct polarity and voltage.

You can charge the MP3 player with the USB cable that came with your player by pluging it into the USB port of your computer OR into a 5 volt USB mains adapter.

Sansa won't charge fully

Have you tried any fo the usb mp3 chargers. Check you local discount or department store. You can buy ones that plug into your car or ones that plug into the wall. They have a power supply that connects to a USB connector so you can plug your MP3 player in.

You charger/USB maybe damaged if you know anyone who has an iPod nano, ask them if they would try charging your iPod up to see if it's you need a new Charger.

If you've only tryed charging it back main plugs try charging it through the computer.

Because that's probably your problem.

Good luck. Hope my solution helped.

Ipod charger

1 question: how did you do that? i thought the Ipod and the sansa have different adapter types? anyway, i'd suggest getting a new battery. and it's probably because the sansa and ipod use don't use the same amount of energy (volts, etc.) that this happened.
