Question about Whirlpool Washing Machines
Most likely it is your drive coupling that has broke; it is a common problem. You need to remove the shell (housing) and then disconnect the pump from the motor. Also, it may be the pump that has ceased-up and will not turn (therefore the click sound as the motor shaft turns but the pump does not. If the coupling is not bad, this is best time to replace coupling (it is on the other side of the motor) and will cost $10 for the part. The pump it usually not repairable and for $30+ buy a new one.
