Have the camera off when connecting the cord...then turn it on. If an icon doesn't appear on your desktop or Windows doesn't offer to open it in a list of programs, open "my computer"...it may be listed as a removable drive that you can double-click on to open. Or, if you use a memory card, just buy a memory card reader and plug that in...works every time.

I"m connecting it to my computer and it says one

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

I puschesed a olympus D370 and can't figure out how too veiw the pictures on the lcd screen,It did not have a instruction manual with it.Could you tell me if this can be done on this camera?

I bought an olympus FE-310 last year when i spent the year in south korea.got an instruction manual, but it was in korean.just have to play with the menu buttons to see your pics,or use the cables to hook up to your computer and download to picassa and view.actually better that way so you can edit and touch-up your photos.

Gettihg pictures into computer.

you should have been given a cable that hooks up from your camera to the ( probably ) F drive on your computer.once you connect the two, the camera screen will prompt you if you want to download.it should give you a few options on your computer screen as to where you want to download.hopefully picassa.if you don't have picassa, get it,it's the best and you can download it for free.DO NOT !! download your pictures to the olympus file as you have bloody hell trying to print, copy,or e-mail them.if you don't have the cable, then you can probably find it on-line or at a store like best buy.
