My Zen Micro felt on the ground and now it won't to turn on. When I turn it on, display shows only Creative logo and disc produces strange noise. In the recovery mode, all buttons function expect up an down, so i can't move down to format the disc. When it's plugged into PC, it does the same as at switching on. Is there a solution? Re: Disk doesn't work
"Hard-disk Problem"... I'd just like to confirm once more that smacking the player on its rhs while turning it on works.I had to smack it fairly hard though so don't be afraid!! I didn't try smacking it till I checked out the threads above so thanks everyone I'm a happy man again!! :) you can replace the hard drive with a flash drive to fix this.

I had the same problem with my creative micro. Do you still have the CD-ROM that came with the mp3? If so just download the creative software from the disc then restart you computer, you computer should see it after that. It worked for me... I even used the wrong disc, I've had both Micro and Micro Photo mp3s, and i still had the CD-ROM for the microphoto.
How did you get your Microphoto to charge after it crashed? I cant seem to figure this one out. I even have a new battery for it, but it wont turn on at all.
vista is not supported . you can try this: you should not have had to install anything for the Zen to work on Vista. If you have installed any Creative software, remove it. Reboot, plug your player in, open Device Manager, and remove the device that shows up representing your player (completely uninstall it). Reboot again, and plug in your player. It should be recognized now.
If that still doesn't work, then boot your player into Recovery Mode, and perform both a Disk Cleanup and a Reformat. Reboot the player and try plugging it in again.
if it still doesn't try another computer and upload the latest firmware to it and then try it on your pc after firmware is loade
