Not a good idea, your house wiring may become the fuse, try to find another curcuit to run the 2nd one, even if it's in another room, stay away from extension cords with electric heaters, if you have to use one, get a short 14 or 12 gauge cord, turn them off when nobody is home

Did your circuit breaker blow.in your electrical box. Check that first before anything else. Sometimes if you have anything else on the same circut as a heater the breaker will shut down.

Room heater caused 15 amp circuit breaker to go bad. Can we update 15 amp circuit breaker to 20 am (similar to ones next to it)

Probable not, in order for you to install a 20 amp breaker, the wiring must be a #12 gauge cable.Check the power requirement of your room heater. It should be not more than 15 amps. Check and retighten the connections to the heater.
Install a new 15 amps breaker.

Compressor keeps turning on and off, I can hear it and it dims the lights showing an increase in power draw, it will blow the main circuit breaker to the house. Therefore it does not run enough to remove...

If when it's running it dims the lights in the room or entire house, The circuit breaker for the receptacle it's plugged into, is not a high enough amperage to carry the dehumidifier and whatever other electrical appliances that are on the same circuit. OR if your house is hold enough (1970's era), it may have aluminum wiring and its overheating .

If it's blowing the Main Circuit Breaker for the entire house and not just the circuit breaker for the receptacle it's plugged into, Stop using the dehumidifier immediately!!! Have an certified electrician check your home's circuit breaker panel and wiring. This could be a dangerous situation.

We plugged in a small electric heater in the room with our Vizio plasma tv. All lights everything went out. I hit the breaker and everything came back on except the TV. No power at all. NO money must...

Hey Juuuudd..lol...not beatles...
Plug your tv into another outlet some where in another room and see if it works.

Check your tv owners manual and see if it has a "reset" button.

Usually, if this happens it because of the electric heater.
They tend to pull alot of power and blow power to your fuse box.
IE...if you have a 15 amp breaker and run 20 amps per say through it
it blows....or shuts off the power.....this happens alot at work with people
running heaters, lights etc.

if your problem persists let me know...good luck.

PS....don't run that heater...

Not getting enough heat from my panasonic fan heater

Since the heater takes in room air and then heats it, the heater coils inside may very well be clogged with dust & lint. Turn off the circuit breaker that feeds the heater. Remove the front cover and carefully vacuum the interior with a brush attachment. For those areas that the brush attachment can't reach use canned compressed air (like you clean your computer with) with a straw nozzle to blow the dust and lint out and vacuum again. Replace the front cover, turn on the circuit breaker and you should be ready to go.

I have a large room in my basement where I would like to install four Marly 58" baseboard heaters to work off one thermostat. The units are rated at 1250 watts each for a total of 5000watts. I plan to...

Using the equation I = P/E where "I" is Amps, "P" is Watts, and "E" is voltage, we find that your 5000w circuit will have an Amperage of 20.83. A 22 amp tstat will work, it will just leave you no room for surges. I would suggest splitting the baseboard and using 2 thermostats. Hope this helps

Fir sauna used for 1 hour, appeared to overheat and blew circuit breaker - now blows circuit breaker every time its plugged in. checked wiring and all seems fine. any suggestions guy

Does the circuit breaker match the load? And the wires match the load? Is this on a GFT protected breaker?

You say all the wires check out, how about the heater, did you take it apart or at least the cover to see if there is a short?

Please let me know what you find.
